Who does the most with the least and the least with the most?

The recruiting stats below are accumulated from the 2008-2015 seasons, while the win totals are from 2010-2015. The delay in the win totals is so that the recruiting classes used make up atleast 75% of a roster. The recruiting statistics are pulled from Scout.com.

Looks like recruiting services are getting better. Nothing is perfect but they are doing something right.
Top 4 recruiting schools in regard to most 4/5 stars and least 2/3 stars match exactly the 4 most winning programs the last 5 years.
Then again there could also be a slight bump for programs that provide the most subscriptions, which will likely be the top/more successful programs

3.3 wins per 4/5 star = Vandy
1.55 win per 4/5 star = Missouri
1.39 win per 4/5 star = MSU
1.16 win per 4/5 star = Ark
1.15 win per 4/5 star = USCe
.78 wins per 4/5 star = UK
.75 wins per 4/5 star = OM
.68 wins per 4/5 star = A&M
.56 wins per 4/5 star = LSU

Most with least = Vandy
least with most = UT
^ For instance Saban would have to win 6x as many games as he's even played to equal Vandys wins per 4/5 star. So .51 isn't a knock on him at all. With the talent he's accumulated over the years it's impossible to do more with less than almost anyone, even relatively.
At the end of the day technically Vandy does do the most with the least, and UT the least with the most

Agree.
Would be interesting to see scheduling play into this thing also. In this certain time frame, ole miss gets hurt because of Nutts last two years, as I'm sure others are also hurt or helped by certain years. Will be interesting to look at this in a couple of years from a "what current coaches are doing with their talent" standpoint

I'd agree with this sentiment. A team that next to no one gave much of a shot when they joined the league and 2 SEC East titles... Will be interesting to see how things go moving forward. Pinkel was an underrated developer of talent... didn't get a ton of elite recruits but got peak performance out of most and also a pretty good talent evaluator as well, as landed some really talented 2/3* guys.
