Obviously UF is gonna be a pretty easy win, since they downgraded at head coach.

At first I was worried about LSU until they recruited a transfer that couldn't make the 2 deep in a weak Big10. At this point I think an MSU rout over LSU is imminent.

AU never gives us trouble, so I really don't see any team on the schedule that I am worried about.

That being said, MSU should embarrass most every team and I would not be surprised to see an undefeated season. Top notch Head ball coach, the likely heisman winner, and an elite defense. Get ready girls, and [f]aggies

I can assure you that MSU embarrasses every team each year.

I'll have to take "embarrass" as meaning a surprise win but winning also with authority as in this game shows we came to be taken seriously. The last one for Bama had to be the loss against Ole Miss in 2015. That was a shock to me and their team that year was a real solid SEC championship caliber team -- potentially anyways until they shite the bed at LSU and all cheating aside. An "embarrassing win" also would have to be somewhat early in the season. So, I would say this should be the first game you are not supposed to win (even if the spread is somewhat close).

Kansas State would have done it for me in years past and I'm being completely honest here. BUT ... Vandy beat KSU last season and for some reason this caused every talking head to say that Vandy would beat Bama which obviously went shitty quickly. I have a lot of respect for them and this would have been a great game for MSU to schedule in years past (let's face it, you guys' scheduling history for OOC has been really bad for a while -- look at the '14 season even) but KSU is no longer a solid OOC opponent for an SEC team until proven otherwise.

If you guys beat Florida, that won't be terribly surprising. If your team is that confident in beating Florida then this has trap game written all over it (for you guys) but Florida will likely be a mess in '18. Oh they'll be decent in future seasons probably but in '18, they may be so bad that there is little upside to beating them.

You're not expected to beat Auburn though it's entirely possible. Auburn usually stumbles out of the gate and if that happens and you beat them, then it won't be a shocker. Still, this is your absolute best shot at an embarrassing win against a high quality opponent.

Even if LSU is better and I believe they will be, if you beat them, no huge surprise there. It's not like you guys didn't embarrass them last year. Maybe could be if they beat you guys, then it could be said LSU embarrasses MSU? This is entirely possible. AS you will be getting LSU's full attention.

Beating A&M wouldn't be a huge surprise. Would be like beating LSU as described but with way less of an impact. No one really knows what A&M is going to bring this year.

Now, beating Alabama would likely fit the bill the most unless Bama has a couple of losses and the season went into the shitter very early (would take Jalen transferring, Tua injured and Mac injured too likely). Otherwise, this would be a complete shocker but almost certainly won't happen. You guys had a great team in '14 with your all-time best QB but couldn't beat a down Bama then. This is the 2nd best chance for an "embarrasser".

By this team, in reality, you will have at the least 2 losses, so I see the initiative for shock and awe lost by this team by this point. A good team? Yes, almost certainly but I don't think you guys really embarrass anyone this season. Not because your team isn't capable in '18 but because of the way your scheduling is.

"Embarrass"....really bad word selection. The only way a team can be embarrassed is to lose to a really sorry team, and nobody should consider State as a bad team this year.

I expect by the time we play LSU they will have already fired coach O and everyone will expect State to win anyway. Not sure why beating UF would be embarrassing to them. Personally I think their fans would have to be shocked if they were able find a way to win.

Miss St fans with a couple good seasons over the last four years has turned them into some obnoxiously arrogant fans. I would hate to see how bad they get if they ever win something with significance like a division title for starters...

Agreed. Per capita errrr per win ... quite possibly the most arrogant fanbase who has never won a single thing in football really.

Huge payback coming. Tigers had this one circled on the calendar minutes after the beat down last year. It is personal and will be resolved.

Any team that ever loses to state is embarrassed by it. Historically, one of the worst in the SEC.

How the hell do you know that? I love when fans try to imply their feelings towards a team in which they don't personally know a soul.

AU never gives us trouble,

Last time we went to Starkvegas, we were up like 35-0 at halftime. And Sean White was playing QB. Good luck.
