All of this is just find a scapegoat to cover for the NCAA because they didn't grandfather the 2022 class in like a bunch of morons. Now they are trying to walk it back and blame the coaches (or a coach). It's overly obvious at this point that those in charge are trying to cover their asses.

Funny thing is, it's not just Lane, Will Wade is actually worse. Have to give props to Brian Kelly, he ruined that entire state. You have the governor desperately intervening in coaching searches and trying to find private equity to pay off the athletic program's debts, all resulting from the football program being average for a few years. Is the governor hosting dinner's to talk about improving infrastructure, the public school system, or finally convince people their legal system makes any business or real estate person desperately avoid doing business in Louisiana and needs to be changed... NO. He's hosting dinners to beg for money because Brian Kelly's buyout was expensive and they went overboard on paying the current staff and players. Hell, how many people would have loved to be the AD at LSU, instead they hire a guy they had to suspend for covering up assault because Landry knows he'll just get out of the way.
I thought Jimbo's buyout was terrible, but A&M paid that off and never looked back. Brian Kelly has turned LSU desperate.
