Triggering? ...not at all. Just speaking the facts. Spurrier was a great coach, but he left your program high and dry, because he didn't want his record as a coach to look any worse. Many SC fans hate him to this day...as they should. SC has never really recovered from his abandonment.

They can hate him but the fact is he did more for our football problem then any coach we ever had. He showed that you could win at South Carolina. He gave us a run of our most successful years. His positives FAR outweigh any negatives.

And yes I'm a huge SOS fan

Yeah, that's a stretch homie. I think you have him confused with Muschamp. THAT'S who SC fans HATE....

What exactly did y'all win ? Eastern div. 1 time, only to suffer the worst beatdown in SECCG history. Other than that, a few state championships. Am i missing anything ? Please, let me know if I am.

Yeah.
Coaches who walk out on their teams and fans don't trigger opposing fanbases.

It pretty much defeats all goodwill and credibility as a good coach for young athletes. It is the unforgivable sin (for a coach to ask so much of his team and staff just to quit on them).

He did beat Dabo a few times. seems Dabo learned from that and moved forward. You still haven't explained how he (SOS) showed that y'all could win anything of substance.

Well, you couldn't tell by the worked up responses of most of the UGA fans here.

Like a few as in 5 in a row. We finished top 10 multiple times. 11 wins in a season more than once. We don't play in the acc but had we we would have multiple acc championships ( though who brags about being a champion of a weak conference). How many years did y'all win the acc championship the weekend after we ran you out of the stadium.

They got another one this past season, didn't they?

Spurrier did trigger a lot of Georgia fans. (I thought he was funny as all get out, but hated facing him) South Carolina not so much.` The angst between SC and Georgia fan bases was purely Spurrier driven.

And that is the whole "showing USUC fans that they could win" argument? Weak. UGA mouth and a Vandy trophy case.

I can see where winning the State Championship multiple years in a row and running the acc champions out of the stadium could be considered weak .

beating Nebraska, Michigan, Wisconsin & UMiami - 3 of those programs more decorated than yours - over 4 consecutive post-seasons was fun.

more recently - there's this little mid-field party over Thanksgiving weekend too

I am sure it was a good time for y'all. Still doesn't show that USUC can win, more than a few games every few years. No Championships speaks volumes (well, there was that 1969 ACC championship).

It showed we could win double figure games in the SEC and run a weak acc champion out of the stadium.
