Have a brother that lives in Cobb County with two daughters. One went to UGA the other didn’t get in and went to Auburn. Was told this was pretty common for Cobb County kids. Found that interesting

Tennessee was Alabama's rival
Georgia Tech was Georgia's rival
That left Auburn and Clemson with a rivalry but I would say the AU vs UGA was more heated till AU actually could beat the Tide and allowed them a rival in the Tide and a rival in UGA just across the GA line once the Bumbles left for the ACC.

Even though UGA denies it,they flat out have a quota on
kids from E Cobb, Gwinnett.Atlanta Pvt and N.Fulton High Schools..If they actually accepted kids on 100% merit it would be mostly full of white kids from those HS.
I have multiple UGA grad friends in Cobb,N Fulton and Buckhead who had to send their kids to AU,OM and Bama and all had very good grades and SATs.

They cant beat daddy and stepdaddy consistently...they hate both equally.
