Peter Gardere started 4 years at QB for Texas from 89-92. His label Peter the Great was earned as he won all four games against Texas main rival Oklahoma never losing to them in his career.
Question, Who are the SEC players that started and defeated their main rival for 4 straight years. I'm sure there are many out there with as many rivalries that exist and how streaky they can be.
Expecting to see something from Bama, Florida, and others.
Has to be 4 years in a row as a starter. Redshirt year doesn't count unless left early for NFL, but still four in a row needed. Has to be top rival.
EDIT....I'm sure OU has some vs. Texas also, maybe. Wondering if Roy Williams was one, or maybe Joe Washington or Billy Simms. OTOH, it could be that Gardere is the only player ever to do this in the Tx/OU rivalry.

I recall 1992 when Petey thought he was driving only for Aaron Glenn to pick six him. Good times

Well, in Kirby Smart's entire coaching career at UGA, we are a combined 33-6 against our 4 biggest rivals, Florida, GT, Auburn and Tennessee. So, I'd say there is a whole bunch of players that fit in this category.

Imagine sucking so bad in football that you couldn't beat Gardere in 4 tries. I think y’all went 3-1 for example.
