That probably will happen.

UNC I think is bringing in the 9th best recruiting class. They are set.
And they have a great chance next season I think. Their QB is a top 5 QB in the entire nation.

Mac is a great coach. I wouldn’t be surprised if they began to give Clemson a run for their money these upcoming years.

I used the last decade, and still labeled them as Great and among another regular CFP team, and 2 consistent 10 win, conference contending teams

You people that put Oklahoma (done absolutely nothing) and Ohio State above LSU have lost your mind. Obviously Bama is 1 but after that it’s really LSU and Clemson in second strictly off championships.

I am an LSU fan, but Ohio State is more consistent than LSU

Making it to the CFP as Big 12 champion then getting rolled every year shouldn’t make you elite.

If Bama wins the 'ship this year (and they look unbeatable right now), then I think you have to count them as Tier 1(a) and Clemson/OSU Tier 1(b). That would be six national championships in eleven years, and I think you would have to separate them to some degree from everyone else.

I bet we find out in the Orange Bowl. I'm not too worried.

This season is shite.... but in 20 years LSU has won 3 NC and played for another, won the SEC 5 times and played for another. Has finished in the final AP top 10 9 times.

Troll all you want. Only Bama has better numbers than that. Not Clemson not Ohio State.

Who know what happens from now on.... but LSU Has been as ELITE as you can be.

FSU, Auburn also have one in that time frame.... If OSU is elite then so is FSU an Auburn correct?

How predictable. A thread where no one mentions A&M and here comes obsessed Tiger fans who can’t wait to mention us. It would be flattering if it wasn’t so creepy.

Bama
Clemson
Ohio State

That's it.

Everyone else has ups and downs, and the occasional great year. But those three are the only consistently elite programs in CFP today.

If by ELITE you're looking just at the trophy case.... then it's an easy answer.
