Yeah he’s one that I feel gets overshadowed even by LSU fans but he was awesome. Very strange guy IRL though.

Derrick Henry was simply the best. Trent Richardson, Mark Ingram, and Najee Harris, in that order, during the Nick Saban era. Shaun Alexander and Bobby Humphrey otherwise.

Not sure why you dont list Dyland Sampson. SEC Player of the Year and broke 100 year records at Tennessee in a playoff appearance season.

I would not put a single one of those on a "top" list. Oddly you did not mention Carnell Williams, Ronnie Brown, or Tre Mason which I would include.

Josh Jacobs

Underutilized at Alabama, oddly enough (considering how many RBs weren't during that time frame)

If you squint hard enough you can still see De'Von Achane blowing past LSU defenders

Anthony Dixon deserves a mention. Guy was a stud in Mullens first year and played on some awful croom teams but still put up yards

I think he’s in the top 5-10 all time rushing

My favorite from another team was Jacob Hester and Lattimore

For Arkansas I would submit...

Darren McFadden (obvious reasons)

Felix Jones - All time SEC career leader in yards per carry, at 7.7 ypc. Next closest to Jones in ypc over a career is Auburns Brent Fullwood from 1983 - 1986 at 7.2 ypc.

Marcus Lattimore. Had he stayed healthy he could've won a Heisman

It took 18 backs named before this one came up. There arent 5 who were better than Latti.

It's a shame how it ended, screw the vols

Camron Artis Payne - good
Kam Pettway - good
Kerryon Johnson - very good
Tank Bigsby - good
Jarquez Hunter - very good

None are our top RBs though.

Ronnie and Caddy are tops.

Derrick Henry is the greatest RB in SEC history.

I know that'll get downvoted because it's been ingrained for so many years that it's Herschel and Bo 1-2...but if you combine the ENTIRE football careers of all 3...it's Derrick Henry. He'll be in the NFL Hall of Fame...the other 2 won't sniff it. He didn't get to start in college as long as the other 2 did...so you can argue "best college RB"...but overall football career, it's Derrick Henry...and it's not even close.

No one will confuse him with the best but Dexter McCluster was fun to watch.

I would have Mason as better than Kerryon. Dude was so good that Gus ran him into CTE oblivion. Finished up at Auburn and went crazy.

If you need three yards, Tre was getting it for you.

Guice is the only back to rush for 250+ Yards in a game…

That is until he went full Cecil Collins.
