That is because they were wearing their sheets and white hoods. All KKK I’ve ever heard about were Democrat party leaders. The few still around that I’ve heard are members, flying their Confederate flags, are Democrats still.

Whitlock is one of the dumbest sports journalists so no surprise he managed a truly retarded take.

You should assume that each and everything Nick does is for recruiting, helping bama or hurting a rival like LSU or Auburn and yon will pretty much be right 98.6% of the time.

He doesn’t know his grandkids names, his kids birthdays etc but i bet he can rattle off the top high school players in Louisiana for next three years with ease. That’s Nick

Most people are scared to speak the truth in fear of being canceled. Even normal folks are losing their careers and reputation. It’s disgusting that one side can manipulate their way to power and ruin lives in the process. shite won’t change until the right gets on the same page.

His job is to recruit young black kids that are really good at football to the University of Alabama. He's going to mold his words and behaviors towards that end.

He's not dumb, he's just an opportunistic grifter. The Candice Owens of sports journalism if you will. They tell a bunch of old white people what they want to hear and make lots of money doing it. There's a huge market for the black guy or gal that Jim Bob and Ethel can point to and say "see, why cant the rest of y'all be like them?"

Frankly, props to him for financially exploiting that niche

I always respected him as the GOAT coach but since his stance on the fake voting rights bill FK him, he can kiss my arse and I mean it. Sorry arse piece of shite selling out principle over recruits.

Whitlock doesn't know much about Saban.

I think he does.

Saban has been apolitical throughout his career and please, don't bring up his previous support of Joe Manchin .He's the most conservative Democrat in the country and public enemy #1 with the current Democratic party.

I see Saban up at Lake Burton during the Summer. He attends boat church up there. While not fire & brimstone,it delivers a old school religious message along with commentary on current social issues. In short,a place where a modern day liberal wouldnt be caught dead.

The folks that he associates with and does business with up there are about as red state as you can get along with Rabun county itself.

Funny you say that. Obviously, this is from back in the day, but… it was not morning again for Brian Kelly.

Yeah, I like Whitlock and normally agree with him (or, at least, with what he writes, as I don’t know if he fully believes much of what he writes) but he does the exact same thing he’s accusing Saban of doing, except his target audience is middle-aged white men while Saban’s is black teenagers.
