Which top 5 team will Jimbo upset next year to save his job?

In 2020, he pulled off a win over #4 Florida.

2021, he knocked off #1 Alabama.

In 2022, they beat #5 LSU.

Jimbo has obviously figured out that he can field somewhat mediocre teams so long as they spring one big upset a year to build hope for the next season.

Who fills the bill in 2023?

All of his big upsets have happened at home so it would be one of those matchups probably.

Is Aggie the new UpsetU?

Home Schedule:
New Mexico
ULM
Auburn
Bama
South Carolina
Miss State
ACU

Unless there's a surprising top 5 team, looks like Saban is losing to Jimbo again. The first 3 opponents could be undefeated at the time of the game and won't be top 5, so if there is a surprise it will have to be USC or MSU. I don't think Abilene Christian can get there.

You guys were ranked 5th?

This year is Bobby’s revenge tour. What team did Bobby have the most beef with? Tbh just bc of Bobby, I’m most hyped about the Arkansas game.

He didn't like it when Miles ran up the score on him.

I only see one possible opportunity to play a top 5 team at home

I know you’re trying to troll A&M, but all you proved is that Jimbo has 3x as many top 5 wins in the last 3 years than Brian Kelly has in his entire 20 year career.

He can go 0-12 and would still be employed. They can’t afford to fire him.

The obvious answer is Auburn. They’re usually so up and down that since they had a bad year in 2022, 2023 they’ll somehow pull together a good team against all expectations.

A&M couldn’t even qualify for a bowl? How pathetic is that?

They won't be top 5 but a win vs Moo St would be a huge win for them. aggy has a decent chance at a bowl game this season. They haven't been bowling in two seasons so that would be an accomplishment for aggy.

Now do 5 win seasons and bowl forfeiting the last three years.

Hard to fathom they were ever ranked that high last season, especially after the grudge frickin A&M put on them. That was just brutal.

None of those away stadiums look terribly daunting honestly.

LSU wasn’t close to a top 5 team last year. Paper Tigers. Downvote away LSU fans.

Probably more around the #10 range.

The starters are pretty good but the team had very little quality depth, they really wore down late in the season.
