The only reason I didn't put 2004 barn was I thought this was for the SEC 7 NC's in a row time period.

Just not sure how well they'd match up with that Miami team that was just as fast with more NFL talent.
Last time I heard that, the result was George Teague running down Lamar Thomas from 7 yards behind and ripping the ball out of his hands.

I can really only speak for LSU teams since then.
No chance: 2001, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2009
Appreciably-higher-than-zero-but-very-slim chance: 2005, 2010, 2012
Fighting chance: 2003, 2006, 2007, 2011

No SEC team that has won it since 2006 would beat the canes.
2005 Texas and 2004 USC are the only teams I could see defeating them.
...IMO

It's going to be interesting to see how people look back on the 2008 Gators, 2009 & 2011 BAMA, and 2011 LSU teams in 10 years or so. All four of those teams are going to have a ton of players in the league, much like the 2001 Canes.

95 Nebraska would beat anyone.
Well, almost anyone. Anyone except the 92 Canes, because "No one-dimensional team could ever beat" that team.

I would love to see post OM Florida vs 95 Neb. It would be an awesome matchup.

2008 Gators had 31 players sign an NFL contract (including Demps who went to compete in the Olympics before eventually getting on with the Pats last season).
I did not count Cam Newton in that number. 32 if you count Cam.

I think 2009 & 2011 Bama and 2011 LSU will both have more than that. Just my opinion.

Don't worry, nobody on earth doubts that Cam Newton counts as a paid player.

Its not just the number of players signed from that Miami team... it was the number of guys from that team that went on to have exceptional NFL careers that still impresses people.

Agreed. 17 first rounders off that team is just ridiculous.

Yeah and I think 2009 & 2011 Bama and 2011 LSU are going to produce multiple pro-bowlers. Like I said this is just my opinion. I still think the 2001 Miami team is one of the best ever.

Not so sure. 30 is a hell of a lot. Maybe though. Somewhere around 30 I suspect.

2012 Bama played a 19th ranked SOS
2011 Bama played a 15th ranked SOS
2011 Lsu played a 7th ranked SOS
2010 Auburn played a 13th ranked SOS
2009 Bama played a 2nd ranked SOS
2008 Florida played a 4th ranked SOS
2007 Lsu played an 11th ranked SOS
2006 Florida played a 3rd ranked SOS
2001 Miami played a 27th ranked SOS
I believe all of those teams would beat 01 Miami. They could maybe pull an upset or two, but they would be sub .500 against those teams.
(Based on Sagarin SOS schedule rankings)

I gotta disagree. 2001 Miami beats most of those teams. Like 75% of the time.

Nah. I just don't find a run through the Big East that impressive. Especially when they gave up more points than many of the SEC teams did, playing one less game than they did.

Interestingly enough, 1995 Cornhuskers destoryed all comers that year, the next year, the '96 squad lost their second game, on the road to a Arizona State..... 0-19. wtf.

Tiger n Miami AU83, all of the teams in the SEC's NC run would look fricking awesome with that Miami ACC schedule. And probably put up better numbers than them.
