I don’t hate either. I just don’t understand why LSU fans keep bringing up that case to prove it’s ok. He was kicked off the team. Stick with the 5 for 5 rule and say they should have been allowed to come back.

Interesting since State has a couple of those currently on their roster.

That is interesting indeed.

Euro Pros were playing all over CBB. What's the difference in a Euro Pro and an NBA pro. That's why Bediako sought the TRO. It would be the same scenario if former CFL players were back playing in college.

Thank you. The conference has allowed multiple pros to play but now suddenly has a problem with it.

He was kicked off the team because a judge lifted the injunction. Not because of anything Alabama or the conference did.

If the judge didn't lift the injunction, he likely finishes the season.

That case would seem to show the SEC does not allow players who signed professional contracts.

Again, the conference took no action there.

The only guy that has recruited a PROFESSIONAL player so far is Nate Oaks.

Still the scummiest coach in the SEC. Married a staffer… hmmmmmm.
Murder and recruits pro’s.

The mental gymnastics it takes to reason that a guy YEARS removed from college, who had a contract with an NBA team, played MULTIPLE seasons in the NBA G League returning to play college, is somehow “not as bad” as what class the class of 2022 guys are doing is quite impressive.

But then again, Alabama is known to have a great gymnastics program.

No. That case shows there is a rule that they can’t play former pro players

But they did play him for 5 games. No penalty was directed at AlafickingBama. Like they are threatening LSU with.

Pieces of fricking shite

It's pretty easy.

Alabama plays a pro basketball player, the SEC takes no action.

LSU talks about playing two pro football players, the SEC immediately creates a rule and then sues the school and head coach.

What am I missing?

Only after the SEC won their appeal, and he was still played in 5 games with absolutely zero consequences.

You think the SEC filed an appeal in the Bediako case?

The SEC was never a named defendent in that case, it was solely between the NCAA and Bediako. The SEC filed an official affadvit in support of the NCAA's position.

Because the courts handled it. But a precedent has been set.

So how come they didn't come up with all these fricking rules then?

Only when LSU is trying to do it. That's when the rules get passed.

Stupid motherfricker

But apparently, they made a distinction between the pro leagues, because they ruled against Bediako. I'm assuming the same weight of professionalism isn't applied between the NBA / European league and the NFL/CFL. Or maybe it's an agreement between NCAA/NFL/NBA.
