How many did Tx gain post Katrina 2005?

Most of the other half probably Huntsville metro.
My brother moved there recently; I came to visit and two things struck me:
1. How much it's grown
2. How horrible the traffic is now

Nothing pisses me off more than hearing a Yankee accent in Tennessee

That said, South Carolina is hardly surprising - they've done a lot to encourage growth. They're enticing a lot of people away from North Carolina.
Infrastructure isn't keeping up with the population growth though. Simply building more and more houses isn't going to cut it.

Yep. And Silverhill, I believe its population has increased over 70% since 2020. A lot of new housing & development. We used to cut through there on the way to my in-laws who live in Magnolia Springs, but now we avoid it like the plague.

I was told Louisiana led the nation in population loss.

Not sure what the measure is but NC is one of the top 10 fastest growing states in the country and expected at current growth to be ranked 7th in the US. Problem it is all concentrated in specific areas with a large portion of the state declining and struggling.

Idaho going to turn liberal soon with everyone leaving Ca, Wa, and Oregon.

North Carolina losing residents is a head scratcher. Seems like a reversal after they’ve been gaining consistently over the past 5 years, no?

I wouldn't be proud of this. I wish all of the outsiders would stay out of the south. They ruin everything.

There’s nothing finer than visiting my (carpetbagging) in-laws in Charlotte who introduce me to guys named Bussolini from Connecticut, never hearing a Southern accent, and everything looking exactly like it does in the suburbs of fricking Detroit.

Trump needs to push a new law:
If you vote Democrat, then flee a state due to Democrat policies, you can't vote for a Democrat in your new state for the next 10 years.

Florida is FULL. These locusts need to stay and fix the places they broke through their voting habits. Half of the newcomers to FL since COVID require some form of social assistance (EBT, Sec 8, etc...).
