You just lost every starter on your offensive and defensive lines from team that went 5-7.

The only thing that might keep you from losing 8 games this year is the fact that you play three cupcakes OOC and you get to play Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

2012. After a couple losses, you're numb to it.

Is this a check in thread for UT fans who live in the past?

This will be the fifth losing season in the past six years for Tennesee. It's pretty crazy how far they've fallen.

This thread is very cute.

I remember starting "Got 12?" threads when we sucked, too. Fortunately we have never in our history been on a run quite like Tennessee. 6 losing seasons in the last 9 years just sounds terrible.

Never and there were 115 seasons between the only two 7 loss seasons.

And what was it like?

It was so bad for lsu after the 1999 season that a Tennessee newspaper in 2000 said that Tiger Stadium was dead.

after that Tennessee newpaper said tiger stadium was dead, Tiger stadium came alive and struck a blow to Tennessee.

A year later in 2001 LSU struck the fatal blow to Tennessee.

in 2007. Tennessee looked to rise again but was cut down by LSU.

You should post this on the UT board. It'll make the rest of the vol posters feel good about something.

2003. 4-9

Lost new HC in spring for partying with strippers.

New, new HC brought in, played the #1 ranked team and took them to the limit in a tough loss.

Rest of season = Fail

1999.

And only one other time in our history have we lost 8 or more games in one season - and it was in the same decade - 1992 (LSU's only 9-loss season.) The 1990s was LSU's only sub .500 decade (54-58).

And in all its other 119 seasons of playing football combined, LSU has lost more than 5 games in a season only 7 times, and lost more than 4 games in a season only 24 times, out of 121 seasons.
