When was the last time before this year LSU was not bowl eligible?

It's already November and the magic number 6 hasn't shown up in LSU's win column.
After the loss this Saturday, Florida comes into redstick with a better defense than LSU then it's off to college station against top ten aggy on thanksgiving day.
Does LSU make it to a bowl this year?

I don't want LSU embarrassing us in bowl season plus lf7 will have one root out the door like dmac did in the cotton bowl.

Before 1970 Notre dame had a ton of teams not make a bowl but it's because they chose not to play in bowls.
I believe in 75 Texas tech was 8-3 and didn't make a bowl.
