I thought it would have happened by now.

What other schools besides West Virginia and Texas currently sell beer in the stadium?

Is Change Coming Soon to the SEC's Stadium-Wide Alcohol Sales Policy?

There are other schools (such as A&M) that have a "private club" that sells beer.

I just think it's a matter of time before we see beer sold throughout the conference.

No thanks. Surrounded by a bunch of
drunks will not enhance watching the game.
SEC fans are passionate enough without dumping
alcohol in the fuel tank.

The ACC did a study on this, and they had more alcohol related incidents when they didn't offer alcohol at their championship game vs. when they did.

You're going to have less people getting obliterated in the parking lot right before and sneaking a bunch of liquor in.

Nevermind the fact that everyone in your section has 15 condoms filled with bourbon strapped to their legs, drinking mixers all day.

I despise having to watch a game surrounded by drunks that can't hold their booze. Worst experience I ever had at a stadium was caused by drunks.

I love the college game and I do my beer drinking when the game is over.

Other than the student section, I don't know that I've ever been around anyone drunk enough to ruin my experience. For most games, I'd venture a guess that 60-70% have had a few drinks before the game, and another 30-40% are sneaking liquor into the game. (This is for Alabama, so save the laughs LSU fans. I know it's 100% there for both.)

When they boot Bama from the conference. Their fans will be rushing the field to claim they know the players and killing each other in the stands if they lose.

You have plenty of time to drink in the parking lot before the game and afterwards if you need to. They also make flasks for bringing in the devil's water during the game.

If drunks are the reason, they should do something where one ticket gets you two beers. Thats enough to hold a tailgating buzz for a bit.
