All aggy's talent will be gone before the end of the regular season!

Wait until the season is over, all Aggy's talent will be gone within days, amd they'll be left with nothing!

Wait until the transfer portal opens, all Aggy's talent will jump in en masse! They'll be left with nothing!

100% true.

Portal is going to totally change the game. It's terrible for blue chip schools, for sure. Gonna be hard to keep those benches as deep.

currently aggie has the second most players in the transfer portal today with 10. The highest is Virginia Tech with 11.

LSU has had one player enter the portal

LSU's roster was in shambles when Ed left. Kelly rebuilt the team with transfers. All those players have already used their free transfer. LSU will likely have abnormally low portal turnover for the next couple years for that reason.

I think the Transfer Portal is going to wind up being a game of musical chairs.

I think some only enter to get a raise at their current employer.

Players who’ve been suspended/in trouble for drugs and who are solidly second or deeper on the depth chart.
Again, no surprises to anyone who knows their situations.
Keep trying, Tex.

As said above, the transfer portal is going to be the Wild West and I think many schools will be seeing it happen. The portal will be bigger than National Signing Day.

No doubt. But that won’t stop the constant trolling on here.

Portal is a bunch of dumb kids making very bad decisions. Last year over 3000 entered the portal, it’s expected to be closer to 4,000 this year. The chance of these 2/3 star kids playing in the pros is infinitesimal. The vast majority cannot start where they are at now. Look at the number of kids giving up a scholarship at a prestigious university... that will in all likelihood be out of sports totally in 24 months. Kids and their family’s should be allowed to sue every agent that talks them into the portal.

Correct most are/were backups. There were at least a dozen names I was familiar with. Being I'm not an aggie and know a bunch of those names mean they did play. At the very least that's a lot of experienced depth walking out the door.

OP is wondering why non starters are leaving

Depth is overrated. Only the starting 22 are worth thinking about.

Your most recent starting QB was the backup’s backup until he wasn’t. You’ll lose others to the draft and/or attrition. But maybe that’s the long play for Jimbo every year, complain about being full of young players and needing to rebuild

I read it earlier. 18 total so far. Some good players in there too

Name one good player on that list. Not a single one of those guys did jack shite. Chase Lane is by far the most accomplished player in the portal for A&M, followed by Haynes King.

That should tell you everything you need to know.

None of them seem to be asking why they're so young in Year 5 so it'll probably work.
