Not a single one of those guys did jack shite.

One could say that about a list of 95% of your roster

So you don’t know if they start or not, but you do know if they’re good or not?

Got it

18 (so far ) is normal??? Wow !

Bama had 20 I think last year. Expecting up to 25. Will be a lot from OL. Bama had gone to a more athletic OL. Wofford OLC wants bigger kids

SEVEN 4stars in one day told Jimbo and that cult school to frick OFF !!

What’s your deal?

DL Dallas Walker IV
Walker did not appear in a game in 2022

CB Josh Moten
Recent arrest; uncertain future on A&M roster

QB Eli Stowers
4th on depth chart behind Weigman, Johnson, and King

DE Marcus Burris
Notched one tackle in 8 games

CB Myles Jones
Going elsewhere for his SEVENTH college season

OL PJ Williams
Suspended for the final five games of the season, was also arrested in November for felony marijuana possession; his return to the A&M program was always in question

CB Denver Harris
Played well but missed second half of the season due to suspension

QB Haynes King
Probably the least surprising portal entry. Played then benched behind Johnson (until Johnson had season-ending injury). Played again then injured then benched behind Weigman; never won back the job. He’s a good kid; I hate to see him go

CB Brian George
JUCO transfer from Highland Community College (Kansas); only has one year of eligibility remaining

TE Blake Smith
Back-up TE (recorded two catches for one yard)

DE Tunmise Adeleye
Most significant portal departure. We’re thin at DE, so he likely would’ve started next year

WR Chase Lane
Graduate transfer: combo of injury and diminished snaps saw his catches and yards decrease (7 for 76 yards in 2022)

Four non-starters departed in November (DL Donell Harris, DE Elijah Jeudy, LB Ish Harris, RB L.J. Johnson) due to playing time.

How many starters are leaving?

So, depth will be another issue to add next year?

it’s expected to be closer to 4,000 this year. The chance of these 2/3 star kids playing in the pros is infinitesimal.

This will cause more high school kids not getting full rides.

But the reason to stay at one school, learn the system and compete is important for the stability of their futures.

Ask 2* star WR Justin Jefferson.

Now list the guys who are graduating or declaring. The problem here is you also only have 11 commits right now. Either Jimbo needs to plan on signing a ton of kids from the portal or your team is going to have big depth issues next season. You can’t just lose 30+ players in one year and think losing a bunch of players is NBD. You’ve already listed 17 player with eligibility left leaving. That’s not a small number on an 85 man roster when you’ll lose 15 or so more to the draft and natural attrition

He was behind Stewart, Overton, Lucas, and Diggs. No way was he going to start next year. He was going to be battling for 4th string.

I know little about players Fisher may snag from the portal, so I can’t comment there.
He’ll notch his share on Signing Day.
I didn’t say losing 10+ players is “NBD;” I was simply offering some context re: those who’ve landed in the portal.

Some of the threads on here have been disingenuous and silly.
