LSU had decided to challenge the SEC leadership, good luck with that, LSU can move to another conference and no one will miss them.

How did LSU challenge SEC leadership?

You do realize the SEC put out a new rule after the players announced their commitment to LSU.

You do realize all of these players were being recruited by other SEC schools.

The timeline is not in the SECs favor.

If so, then I repeat my statement - I see nothing that supports what the person claimed. Kind of see the opposite. LSU caved and now they are desperately hoping to end it there.

Dude. You are starting to look really stupid. Just stop.

The few weeks on this board prior to start of the season should be studied.

I know we don’t want to make things political, but based off this boards demographics, they literally have supported an organization wanting to punish an individual member not for what they have done, but what they might do.

That is some North Korea dictator type shite.

The sec sued the governor and atty general because the atty general said Geaux tigers outside of courtroom

What authority does sec have to sue public officials in a state where you do significant business

It's not just this board but society in general nowadays. Being a troll, flat out ignorance is what's in. Rational & logical thinking is out.

This entire site as a whole has gone to complete shite especially this board. I remember when posters for each team would make threads prior to the season discussing their rosters & predictions for the season. Who was returning, who graduated or entered the NFL Draft & potential impact freshman.

Every game week there would be threads discussing individual matchups by posting stats, offensive & defensive rankings, etc. If you didn't provide legitimate quotes from respectable sources along with a link, your post got whacked & warnings were given. Troll threads & posts got whacked while those who made the post got put in timeout for awhile.

Now anything goes. There's no repercussions for ignorance & stupidity. Any attempt at having a legitimate discussion is immediately bombarded with idiotic posts.

LSU caved

This doesn't sound like caving especially when it their stance the whole time. Kiffin gave this quote at press conference on Aug. 31, four days PRIOR to the court hearing that granted the player's their TRO.

now they are desperately hoping to end it there.

Yet it was the SEC who asked for a continuation for the lawsuit that THEY filed themselves. The SEC also passed on voting on expulsion on LSU after making sure to get that threat broadcast & discussed by every sports media outlet imaginable.

Kind of see the opposite.

You need to visit an optometrist then.

I was just trying to have an honest conversation about the actions I saw and what I thought they could realistically mean using a little critical thinking.

And that was an obvious mistake.

I forgot where I was for a minute.

Your critical thinking needs refining.

You used nothing to back up your stance. No quotes, no links, no posts from X. It's people like you who have turned this board into what it currently is. A cesspool of stupidity.

against the advice of the SEC, allowed them to return and practice with the team

When exactly did the SEC advise the two players couldn't or shouldn't practice with the team? The SEC only changed the rule, or clarified as they later said, an existing rule that they couldn't be rostered on the team.

The SEC had a plan with the NCAA passing the 5 For 5 rule this summer.

From that point forward, SEC will curtail the issue of eligibility exception after exception being pursued in court and rendering the rule useless by getting all 16 schools to agree to parameters and punishments to begin policing it themselves.

This seems like pure speculation unless you can source where this NCAA and the SEC referenced such a plan. If one did exist, Sankey didn't seem to know anything about how it would be implemented based on his piss poor performance on the stand.

LSU seemed to balk at agreeing with the other 15 members about the NEW rules and punishments

Not true. LSU voted for the new RULES [although the SEC later said they are new RULES, just clarification of existing rules] and ABSTAINED on the enforcement provisions proposed for violations. LSU wasn't and isn't against the RULE or not rule, but is in alignment with the other 15 schools on this point.
