Lie to yourself if you want, but this is just laughably wrong. Those additions raised the national profile of your conference more than you're willing to acknowledge.

But whatever, sit around as a mid tier SEC team for the next 10 years before you figure it out.

That's not going to happen. I know you think this run you're on is gonna last forever, but it's not, and you're much closer to the end than you think. Saban will retire, and the odds of you landing another generational coach are very, very long. You'll fade, and others will rise. And if you'd spent five minutes in the Big12, you'd know that this: "If Texas or Oklahoma had any sense at all, they'd go back to the Big12," is just pure, uncut dumb. You had no problem when ESPN was pimping your conference to the point that anyone outside it was fighting an uphill battle for recruits, well now it's time to reap that whirlwind, amigo.

Anyway, I'll let you get back to yelling at those clouds.

We offer your conference a hedge against the SEC getting eaten alive by the Big 10.

If you don't take Texas and OU, they go to the Big 10. With USC, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma in the fold, Notre Dame is the last domino.

If and when that happens, the SEC is the new Pac10. It's the minor leagues. Football success is fleeting. Saban ain't immortal and no school is immune to bad coaching choices.

They're already on 2 of the 3 broadcast stations, have the west coast, and are talking about giving a cut of the TV money to the players.

Sure, I know you'd all say "we don't need them." But money is what fuels this sport, and Big 10 schools would be getting twice as much.

Glad we could help out!

FYI. That win you are so proud of came against a UGA team that was pissed that they were left out of the playoffs.

Oh! That's right! Thank you for reminding me that I forgot to add one point. IF we lose tomorrow, I'll be back to eat my crow, but I will NOT be in here praddling on with a litany of pathetic excuses like all you Georgia bitchtits are so fond of doing.

Read slower, or get someone to read it to you. The thing you "couldn't do" was beat Texas.

SEC schools like to play schools that they consider good destinations. Good places to travel to that are truly in the SE.

I bet you also think that Gulf Shores and Destin are world class beaches.

Well, take comfort in knowing that Tejas still will have a huge lead in overall head to head wins vs Bana in the series. After tomorrow that’s about all you’ll have to hang your ten gallon onto

Some of the best beaches are in Yankee land believe it or not. Traverse City, MI and Marblehead, OH and Presque Isle, PA. But naturally they are not habitable for six months out of the year

Which is exactly what Bama is going to do tomorrow. Big time
Georgia is looking forward to the day we get the horns back on the field. There will be plenty of motivation that day. No one I know wanted Texas or Oklahoma in the SEC so we will be pumped

Oklahoma should be more welcomed than Tejas. Maybe not. Oklahoma might actually win a game here and there

The SEC has a national profile because of it's success. Oklahoma and Texas add a total of 2 national championships over the past 24 years.

Florida has as many by themselves, LSU has more than that. Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee have the same amount as these 2 teams.

ESPN hypes up the teams that are good. I guess in the early 2000's ESPN hated Texas and Oklahoma? The SEC got the attention it gets(and continues to get) because of the success it's had.

And honestly, it's extra fricking laughable coming from a Texas fan. Is there ANY team that has been over-rated more often than Texas over the past 20 years? And yet you sit here with a straight face and act other teams are getting undue hype for recruiting?

You think Texas has been getting it's arse kicked by teams like Kansas because you didn't recruit good enough?

Once again, I'm not saying Texas is worthless. I'm saying you do not add value beyond yourself. You do not add value to the rest of the conference. All you do is dilute the brand.

When all teams are "SEC", nobody is "SEC".

In golf?

Are you new to football? You think the SEC came to be the way it is while the Big10 wasn't getting media benefit?

Do you not remember how the teams that were supposed to be the ones that would meet from the same conference in the BCS was going to be either Ohio St vs Michigan, or Oklahoma vs Texas? But then it ends up being Alabama vs LSU. And now Alabama and Georgia have made the playoffs twice.

Ok, you go to the Big10 and then what? Not a fricking thing, the SEC is still going to get what it gets. Why the hell do I give a shite if you go to the Big10?

quote:

First, that's not going to happen and you clearly don't understand the NIL ruling. The schools are NOT going to be paying the kids directly EVER. The networks would have to work individual deals out with each player. Even if it was just a bulk sign or same contract offered to all, each individual player has to sign. It's never going to be a % of what the school gets.

quote:

Sure, I know you'd all say "we don't need them." But money is what fuels this sport, and Big 10 schools would be getting twice as much.

Yeah, but then they have twice as many teams to split it on, and so they all get the same shite regardless.

Like I said earlier, there will be some dumbass who comes in here talking about overall numbers without a fricking clue. Congrats, it's you.

They haven’t had much luck against Georgia. They will probably fare better in the SEC than Texas and A&M though

Big talk little Texas man. It’s going to be so much fun whooping up on your sorry teams arse. No one wanted you but the real SEC is going to really enjoy those easy wins. We all need a break from playing good teams. Everyone needs a game where they can rest once in awhile
