I have hiked, camped, fished, ridden horses and even caught rides on the occasional Park Service jeep on all of it in Swain/Graham counties in North Carolina over the last 40 years. Beautiful country. :usa:

Imagine the environmental damage that just the 6000 foot runways will yield. Animals killed or displaced. Native plants eradicated by diesel fuel guzzling bulldozers, excavators, rollers and graders. Then more killed by diesel fuel guzzling tractors maintaining and spraying herbicides. All for a product that is laughably inefficient.
