Well, I imagine that if someone who doesn't frequent this site happens to Google 'Eddie Lacy rape' (and actually follows a link) then he will be frequenting this site.

That's not to say that an outsider surfing on to the SECr wouldn't necessarily come away with some legitimate info, but the question is whether he would know how to wade through all the, "My cousin's next-door neighbor's uncle's sister's dog's owner worked at a paper mill down the street from where he went to school, and according to him, he was a tPOS."

I have a speed dial to TD by setting up an autorun.bat that googles "CLM sux". I do this when I want to use my fireplace and need starter flint.

Bad grades. No shot of going to LSU. Alabama found a way to get him qualified. Very simple.

Rumors that Geismar (La.) Dutchtown RB Eddie Lacy has qualified academically appear to be premature. The four-star running back told BamaOnLine.com via text message that his summer coursework does not end until July 24, which is less than two weeks before UA’s fall camp opens.

That means his efforts to become eligible can't be complete in time for him to enroll for UA’s second summer session, and he now hopes to enroll for the fall term.

TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama’s collection of incoming freshmen will likely have a pair of final additions when the team reports Aug. 5.

Running back Eddie Lacy and defensive tackle Darrington Sentimore both got the grades they needed in summer classes in order to qualify academically. They now have to wait on the paperwork, and hope to be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse next week.

“I need to make two A’s and I made both of them,” Lacy said. “They say I need to get there, pick up where I left off and if everything goes well I’ll be in the rotation with the running backs.”

Like many folks that know EL personally have said, Lacy getting into Bama and under Saban's thumb was the best thing for him. It's good to see a kid make something of himself. Now he and his entire family get to reap the rewards.

LSU thought they had their guy in Michael Ford. Worked out well for everyone

It was a mixture of Ford and Lacy's bad grades. LSU wasn't willing to take the risk, Bama did.

Not a clue. Only reason I know about Lacy's is because we were in the locker room when the coaches called a meeting about it. It was really stupid and the girls decision. I don't really blame a bunch of guys for wanting head. It shouldn't even fall in the same book as rape. Just pissed parents looking for excuses of why little Susie is a whore.

Nice theory but he took summer school classes at LSU.

He needed 5 or 6 courses to even qualify for D1.

He took them all in one summer and aced each one. Does that not throw up a huge red flag to you? A normal individual takes 2-3 courses in the summer. Anymore and it's near impossible. Given his documented work ethic in HS the likelyhood of those grades being remotely legit are slim to none.

It's possible since there are some classes over with in the first month, and then you have most that last the entire two months.

Thanks, but I wasn't disputing the fact that he took summer classes to qualify (something that scores of kids do every year). I was asking for a link to the claim that he made up an entire year's worth of coursework in 6 weeks and it was a miracle for him to qualify.

I have found a link just prior to signing day where his coach said that he was 50-50 on qualifying and that if he failed to qualify it would be close enough that he could go to prep school for 1 semester then enroll in a 4 year school in the spring. Not really jiving with what I'm hearing from LSU fans.
