Good question. All of the original founding schools that are still remaining in the SEC are rivals. Teams get hot and cold, but deep down they are still rivals. Every time a SEC vs SEC school kicks off they are rivals.
Although Arkansas, TAM and Mo have joined the SEC, they have beat teams of the original foundation and made it become rivals. Thats just how we roll in the SEC.

Texas for sure. They got a whole conference and then some obsessing over the horns down thing. They’ve got so many haters. Not sure how many qualify as rivals besides A&M and OU though.

Can you really consider this game a rivalry at this point?

Well the Alabama LSU and Florida LSU “rivalries” became a thing because of Nick Saban coming to Alabama and having this kind of success. Prior to this it wasn’t really a rivalry to any fan not living in the others state. Florida LsUbtonme is born out of Florida during the 90s obliterating LSU every year. Not just winning but they used to pile on LSU like no other team for some reason. LSU fans grew to hate them. The one time LSU upsets number one Florida Steve Spurrier called it a fluke in his post game presser. Out side of a five year window Alabama has honestly dominated the series.

Is winning 3 times over the last 15 games really a rivalry?

Rivalries are not based in win/loss records. Thats the dumbest thing I've heard

You know you're my buddy. I'd bail you out at 3 AM if you needed it.

But for Arkansas the list of rivals is: Texas.

We really don't have the animosity for LSU, Ole Miss, Tulsa, or A&M that we have for the Whorns. We want to beat Alabama in football, Kentucky in basketball, and Nike... err.... Oregon in track. But those are single sport issues.

I figured Tejas A&M was y'all's rival too. Rebs/Pigs have a great beisbol rivalry.

USC Jr might see Georgia as a rival, but I can assure you that the feeling is not mutual.

One of the interesting things about the state of GA is that the perception of who UGA's biggest rival is shifts, depending on where you live in the state.

If you're up near Dalton, you have no love for Florida, Tech or Auburn, but it brings you immense joy to see Tennessee suffer at the hands of thr Dawgs.

Lifers in Atlanta believe that GT is our biggest rival, while folks in Valdosta rightfully feel it's the Gators.

Douglasville down to Columbus burn with a white hot hatred for Auburn.

Historically, Clemson was in the mix, and seeing as how Bama has dashed the Dawgs' title hopes no fewer than 3 times in the last 10 years, everyone in red and black would agree that Tuscaloosa is a functional rival at this point.

Missouri and Kansas actually have a history of bloodshed, the rest of you are just playing games.

That describes Texas A&M and Baylor’s relationship as well.
Historically, UTex and Baylor are definitely our most heated rivalries.
The win/loss records between both matchups were always irrelevant.

A&M’s rivalry with LSU and Tech would probably be the next tier.

A minor correction to UGA:

GEORGIA - Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech (Arch Rivals)
- Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee (Rivals)

An "arch" rival is a "chief" rival. A rival is just that, a rival.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA - Notre Dame, UCLA (Arch rivals in this order!)
-- Stanford, Cal-Berkeley, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State (Rivals)

This. LSU and Alabama are not rivals.

I would say UGA has the best collection of rivalries in the SEC.

Somewhere Osawatamie John Brown, Bill Quantrill and Bloody Bill Anderson are chuckling at A&M and Baylor's little tiff.

This is an interesting take and probably very accurate.

But it makes me think the rivals must be like Quarterbacks. If you have five quarterbacks you don't have any. If you claim you have five rivals????

Actually the Arkansas and Ole Miss games were so heated that they canceled the series for 20 years.
