I don't know if we'll have an offensive line for the bowl game, so us, I guess?

Florida has Napier, two waterboys, and an undiscovered pedo left on their roster.

Currently no SEC team has had anyone actually transfer so the answer is, no one.

Bama has lost at least 12 right now, but we knew that was coming. I think the playoff contenders will start losing some after they get eliminated or they win out.
NIL has made this a crazy time for any team and player. The crazy part is that you can go into the portal for a better NIL and then go back to the team you left, like free agency.

if the team lets them come back.... their team might go get a replacement in the portal and then the return door is closed.

This whole portal thing is a slippery slope.. people and teams will get burned. This is all in efforts to create parity and spread the good players around. Raise the tide of CFB by eliminating dominating teams and conferences... Pandora's box is open, no closing it back up now unfortunately.

Just saw a tweet that there are 13,000 FBS players, 1000 are in the Portal. Just crazy.

They are testing the NIL market which means Bama has a chance to re recruit some of their own players should NS want them bad enough. Two of our OL are projected starters and all of our WR's got plenty of snaps. I think we will see a few in the coming days depart the portal.

That’s the cost of the new system. Hopefully this information remains transparent and things settle down a little after the portal has been around a few years.

The reality is that part of being an athlete at that level is having a belief in yourself that is often beyond reality. It is hard for a player that age to accept who he is and that his lack of playing time is most likely an accurate reflection on his ability and less likely simply a reflection of circumstances. There are exceptions, of course.

I mean, there will always be spots for elite players, but on the whole you have about a 4-in-10 chance of losing your scholarship and then deciding if you want to be a walk-on or not.

Pretty scary.

From an article I read:
In 2020, 10 percent of all FBS and FCS college football players entered the transfer portal. In 2021, that number grew to 12 percent for FCS and 16 percent for FBS. That's a big enough number — 2,538 FBS players elected to transfer in 2021, the most of any college sport.

Pretty insane how pretty much anyone that’s not starting is transferring. And then there’s a big group of P5 starters transferring
