I have heard stories about Arky and how they treated our fans, players, and band members during the SWC days. Their glory days in football. I met a band member from UT who said their bus was refused gas and had to reroute through Oklahoma to fuel up. Also said the had older grandma types spitting on them….with tobacco in their mouth.
None of this sounds true, fyi

For now. Now that DEI is going away we don’t need any Yankees

The worst away game experience I’ve ever had was at South Carolina

Aggies are the nicest bunch in the SEC. Don't be fooled, though, it's all part of the strategy.

It all depends on how you act as a visitor most of the time. A few exceptions are when you are around some drunk arse old athlete wannabes, and insecure males 30-40 athlete wannabes...
My experience at a few of my regular trips...
Ole Miss - Awesome
A&M - Awesome
Vandy - Awesome
SC - Awesome
Bama - okay
LSU - Not so much
Tenn - Nope / though I love the area
Next year... my first trip to Auburn.

Yes, those are all stories that came out of that '69 Arkansas-Texas game and got embellished through the years.

Alabama fans are the only ones I've seen go out of their way to be obnoxious away from a game environment. But I'm an Auburn fan so perhaps it's different for others.
I also think it's less common than it used to be, as Alabama's student body and fanbase has gotten a little uh, more refined over the last decade.

Probably an unpopular decision but I had a great time with Bama fans in both Austin and Tuscaloosa. After we won in their house I expected to catch some shite after the game but what I found is they were all very friendly and congratulated us on the win. Some even bought me a few drinks at the sports bar near campus.
They'd be my pick.

I went to a game in 98. The Horns upset them and ended a 47 game win streak. They gave our team a standing ovation. They are the kindest fans I have ever met. Worst experience probably Buckeyes. They trashed Austin areas after our game with them. My wife is a UM alum and has shared similar experiences. I met the first Buckeye I really like which really shapes one’s opinion of a fan base. I am hoping to make some road trips in the coming years to have a more educated opinion. No comment on Aggie. They were good when I was in school and I sat alone next to them. Anyways… have a good night all!
Worst I’ve experienced are Buckeyes, Arkansas, and Texas Tech.

You’re 500. against one of them. Care to take a guess who they are ?

Always enjoyed the company of South Carolina fans.
I'll even admit that the majority of Ole Miss fans from Mississippi are really good people. Got a bunch of good friends in that group.
TAMU fans are really nice, but they're almost too nice to the point where they wear it like a badge of honor. Very simp like behavior, but better than being an a-hole I guess.

Went to my first Red River game pre covid and the people watching of OU fans was top notch.
Oh yeah. I've seen them many times over the years in Dallas.

I'm calling BS on this one, Missouri fan.
When did you go to an LSU game? The only football game between the two in Baton Rouge was 2016 when LSU won 42-7 and Missouri was terrible.

Tennessee has a few good posters. They are just littered with blithering idiot alters who spam the board and make real Tennessee fans look bad.
