Yep. Lionel Richie and the Commodores.
And I don't care what anyone says, Lionel Richie is definitely Ludacris' dad. Must have knocked up some chick in the ATL back in his heyday and she had Ludacris. He and Lionel Richie look TOO MUCH alike for this to not be the case.

Oasis actually has an IRL Baton Rouge connection, at least Noel does.
Buddy Guy, Stephen Stills-Better than Ezra-Randy Newman, Janis Joplin,Garth Brooks,Lil Boosie, Master P, Bil Conti, John Fred, Randy Jackson, Britney Spears, many more all have some connection to LSU/Baton Rouge.
My favorite SEC "fan" musician, is EASILY my boy Lyle Lovett.
Now there is a fricking musician people.
I saw him in Colorado probably a dozen times.
He's never "safe" , he stayed true to his roots, he writes some of the wittiest and most poignant stuff of his era, and he is CRIMINALLY under-rated.
