Posts about being better than Georgia, a team Florida lost to, then thinks it's weird Georgia fans show up.

21-5 in his first two years is very impressive. That said, if continues to not beat Georgia then he will be viewed very differently the next few years, akin to how Harbaugh is viewed.

He was the best coach State has ever had, but he did hit his ceiling pretty quick and was never able to break through it, even the 2014 team that was ranked number one had to have a lot of fluky things happen to get there. Otherwise he was a coach who it was very clear to see what teams he was going to beat every year and what teams he was never or very rarely going to beat.

Obviously the ceiling at Florida is higher than it is in Starkville, but I'll be fascinated to see what the perception of him is in a few years if he's consistently winning 9-11 games a year but still hasn't beaten Georgia or won the East.

Chris Relf from MSU says hello. And Nick Fitzgerald. And I think Dak Prescott was a two star (3 at the most). This should not be surprising.

The Georgia fan who asked if he can score more than 17 this year may be on to something. When Dan was at MSU, it seemed like his offense was never able to put up points against a top defense (like top 25, not top 5 or 10). MSU fans, correct me if I'm wrong. It seems like if Mullen's offense doesn't have a pretty wide talent gap (to the good) versus the defense he's playing, then he's dead in the water.

I have no doubt that Mullen can average 9 to 10 wins a year at Florida, but I do have my doubts that he can win the SECCG or a game in the CFP until or unless he can build a team with offensive talent that is far superior to everyone else's.

He fared far better vs the eventual national champs at their house than Clemson, OU, or Georgia, all who had far better teams than what he inherited and is building up. Guy doesnt get enough love for how incredible what he did last year was. Trask is a pocket passer. He had a young and inexperienced Oline Mullen is still building depth at. The Olins gave him no run game nor much time in the pocket during pass plays. Yet he created the third best passing attack in the SEC(behind two of the three best in the nation mind you). He completely changed how he ran his offense in a week between UK and Tenn. Franks ran more and used option more, as well as threw more deep balls and out routes. So the offense was designed for that all offseason. Trask comes in. He suited it to fit his strengths magnificently. Despite Trask having little time to throw and no run game to threaten. Mullen used an offense he really hasn't had since Alex Smith and made it work. That shite is incredible. Now he has an entire offense to mold the offense to Trask. He should have a better Oline now as well. This should be very fun to see what Mullen has this upcoming season with Trask. I know the Georgia morons here will try to discredit it because they are scared Mullen is building something. I suspect the rest of you will recognize how impressive it was though. Should be fun to see what happens this year with a full offseason of Trask to plan.
He let You Kiss and Frick his wife too or something?.. Jesus Christ..

You brought up Georgia in your OP you fricking moron.

Mullen gonna magically figure out a way to run the ball in Jax this year? 21 rushing yards isn't going to cut it.

He actually addressed that in his post game presser. He said the backs averaged 4 ypc so he thought they did well. After he said that, I wondered why he didn't feed them more. Must be part of his genius that I'm just not able to understand.

The genius is that he did feed them more in the 4th quarter as time was running down and UGA was in a prevent defense. 19 yards rushing by tailbacks in the first half. 23 yards rushing against a prevent defense when the clock is their worst enemy. Kirby says," thank you"

It was a great coaching job, didn't beat any really good teams though. Aranda was Mullen's whipping boy for whatever reason, not sad to see him go tbh

Mullen's a damn good coach; he's who i wanted LSU to hire when we canned Miles. of course, i'm glad we hired Orgeron but Mullen would have been damn good too.

people just don't like him very much. he's so nerdy he's kind of creepy.

Mullen is a damn good coach, I have always thought he was incredibly underrated. The dude had Mississippi fricking State at #1 for 3 weeks. That speaks volumes

Mullen's offense is as good as his quarterback's running and passing capability. That's why we were #1 for three weeks with Dak. No one else knew Dak had that ability and Mullen saw it. Dak got better and better. Fitz was even less known and wasn't really considered a qb, again, Mullen saw a fit for his offense and now Nick Fitzgerald is the all time SEC qb rushing leader. It was his inability to throw consistently that limited the offense. If Mullen can get a smart coachable kid with exceptional running and throwing ability he can win the SEC in 3 years.

This is true. It’s also true it will be harder for him to do this if uga also has a qb like this. That’s where Newman and vandergriff come in.

What he did at Mississippi State was amazing. He’s a helluva coach!

He has the personality of toilet but he’s a damn good coach.
