Mullen used an offense he really hasn't had since Alex Smith and made it work.

What exactly made it different besides having an immobile qb?

Mullen did more with less at MSU and looks to be following the same pattern at Florida but it is the less part that's the problem.

Everyone agrees that Uga fans are certified experts on doing less. 40 years of doing less is proof of that.

Dude. You think he would have done better with Franks at QB? I mean, if he had not gotten hurt Franks would have stayed the QB, and Florida would have lost at least one more game and maybe two. But yeah. It was all Mullen.

The thing that saved Florida was an injury, pure and simple. Anybody that disagrees with that did not watch any games of Florida. If Mullen had been half as good as you want to believe Trask would have been playing ahead of Franks all along.

Crazy that he failed to mention that UK was controlling the game with Mullen's main man Felipe floundering at QB.

UK missed a go ahead 35 yard FG with 54 seconds to go. Brilliant move by Mullen.

2 QBs in 2 yrs bringing a guy out who hadn't played since HS with brand new OL

Yea that's impressive

No run game pretty damn good stats in 10 and 1/4 game

Defense 2 deep was so full of 3*

Had to lean on Trask arm and he lost 21 pts combined to the champs and another top 5 team

Impressive af without using his own players for the most part yet

Wait till he gets to a real spread with fla athletes again ahh cant wait

I love how people think they know his ceiling already after 2 great yrs lol its hilarious to me or his time at miss st was proof he cant get better

Hes still pretty damn young not some old geezer

Is this an excuse or a feather in his cap? I’ve seen it used both ways. And if Mullen doesn’t start recruiting better than it will always be the case.

Feather in his cap since he made

Chauncey
Greenard
Polite
Vosean

All these guys had rough yrs minus Greenard but Mullen turned em to beasts or Grantham did

And Chauncey was getting run over weekly by SEC RBs in 17

Polite was fat was told to lose 40lbs become rush end

Greenard and Shuler were just great Transfer pick ups

Like I believe 3 or 4 of the guys in the 20 class will be too

Portal god

Its the fact that he didnt lose to Bryant in Mizzou

Scar after Georgia gave em the first breath of life the whole season

2 NY6 bowl wins

Lost by 21 to 2 top 5 teams with massive depth advantage

I'm good peace

Imo Mullen after losing to Kentucky in 18 could of easily went down bad

Yall act like he went 8-5 and 9-3

The man took over roster exactly like Tenn

Mullen was just much better coach showed on the field when we played

I think Mullen did a good job but I also think the competition was unusually poor even with both Miami and FSU on the schedule. We beat UK, Mizzou, Vandy and SCAR (after their UGA win) as well and we were truly awful at the beginning of the season (tbh, awful isn't strong enough a word to describe how bad our team was at the beginning of the year). That's not Mullen's fault but it doesn't make the case that he did an amazing job either. I think anyone halfway competent should've produced similar results with Florida's talent and a very fortunate schedule. I think we'll learn more about Mullen in the coming seasons (not necessarily this one bc covid).

I'd like you to pass me whatever it is you're smoking. The roster Pruitt inherited was the first Tennessee team in over 100 years of football to go winless in conference play and only win 4 games total.

Good for yall I wasnt expecting the playoffs

Yr 2 double NY6 bowl wins and 21-5 his first 2 yrs

He had no chance in 18 that's just a fast nobody expected fla to win

19 he had a slim chance with the new OL getting dominated and refs giving out freebie catches

Why does it take Mullen a week of twerking to design a better offense than Smart

You mean an offense where Mullen called plays that weren't on the QBs wrist band? Or used 7 minutes on a 4th quarter scoring drive to pull within 7, then letting Georgia run out the clock? Or Georgia converting 12 of 18 3rd downs? Or Georgia leading in time of possession by 11 1/2 minutes? Or Georgia leading in total yards 398 to 278?
That was some great offense. I expect him to do as well in 2020.

He went 9-3 and likely would have repeated 9-3 if his QB didnt get hurt.

f Mullen can get a smart coachable kid with exceptional running and throwing ability he can win the SEC in 3 years.

Isnt this what every coach is looking for?

The idea that a QB can win college football games with his legs and his arm isnt trademarked by cousin Eddie.

Every coach wants a heisman QB. Every coach can have success with a Heisman QB.
