Alum.
Took a class with John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins. Watched as they completed two coloring books in one semester!

Born into it….you don’t “choose” to be an Ole Miss fan, unless you enjoy pain.

Didn't go to Mizzou myself but several members in the extended family attended Mizzou. My biggest attachment to Mizzou comes from my pappy. He was born in 1923 and was cheering on the Tigers up until his death at age 83. He loved Norm Stewart and Dan Devine.

While I answered the question described in the content of this thread...if you just go by the title, our relationship is Love/Hate!

Law school alum. Really loved Austin and had a great time there back when it was smaller and easier to get around.

Had a fun time going off to undergrad but came back home and just felt, well, more at home.

I graduated from LSU. My dad went to Michigan.

I am an LSU fan but I also root for Michigan.

I have no academic ties to Mizzou, although I have been on campus. I became a Mizzou fan just by listening to Bill Wilkerson call their football games on KMOX.

Texas A&M Class of 79. BA MBA 1990
Like tens of thousands of other kids in Texas, my first involvement with A&M came about my high school freshman year, through the Texas 4-H program’s state roundup.
My junior year in high school I had been accepted early into both Texas and A&M. The student body at Texas consisted of two large constituencies. Arrogant frat rats/sorority queens ot liberal hippies. A&M was just starting their growth as a major university. A&M was a much more laid back mixture of rural kids, kids from Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. To this day the Aggie network is still special.

Went there in the late 80s. Much different than it is today (small campus, etc). Got there because of an Army ROTC scholarship.

I grew up in Eastern Kentucky and following UK was almost a birthright. I can remember watching and listening to games with my dad as early as 5 years old. My father was a coal miner and worked 2nd shift a lot, so eventually I was in charge of taping all of the games if he was working. We would have to avoid the newspaper in the mornings sometimes and just watch the games together later on.

I ended up joining the Marines in 2005 and my dad would send me all of the sports sections from the Herald Leader while I was either in boot camp or Iraq. We got to talk via satellite phone and we would discuss what was going on.

Eventually I went to UK and earned my Master’s.

My father passed away almost 2 years ago and there isn’t a day that I don’t think about the times we would discuss what was happening with UK.
