10 state championships.

You think eventually he moves into the college ranks? Obviously starting off somewhere smaller.

I would contend that the play that re-ignited the post-Bear Bama...would be Antonio Langham's pick-6 of Shane Matthews in the 1992 SEC Championship game.

Yep, you're right, don't know how I overlooked that one...should've been high up in my runners-up list...

I do. He's done an amazing job and obviously is an extremely good coach with a great track record of developing these kids.

I think Jackson Muschamp (QB) ends up getting some major P5 offers. I've heard that (unlike that coach in the upstate) CWM is hesitant to extend an offer bc of it looking like preferential treatment.

November 9, 2002, Commonwealth Stadium.
The Cats are beating a 16th ranked, Nick Saban coached LSU Tigers. Kentucky up 30-27, LSU has one chance left 74 yards away from the end zone. LSU quarterback Marcus Randall makes a desperation heave as far as he can but Kentucky defenders are able to get to the ball first, leaping and batting it safely to the ground. Cats win! Cats win! Cats win!

TD pass to Skylar Green to beat UGA in 2003

(And the friendly no-call on PI on the ensuing UGA drive. That was before the officials hated LSU)

Even as a Clemson fan, I have to admit that was a great play by Clowney. The fact that it followed the bad spot of the ball on the fake punt made the timing of the hit a big load of karma for Michigan. Now, I will go wash my hands for typing this.

As for Clemson, it's hard to beat Watson to Renfrow for the first lead with one second remaining to win the natty.

Other than him decapitating that dude the best part was that after we were robbed the 1st and 10 Clowney told Spurrier before that play "Don't worry coach, I'ma get the ball back."

Lots of good ones in my lifetime.

Alexander’s run in the swamp in ‘99
Teague strip
Dareus pick 6 to close out the half against Texas
Onside kick against Clemson
Kenyan Drake kickoff return
AJ to Cooper against Georgia
AJ to TJ in BR

2nd and 26 has to take the cake though

LINK

Offensive play...1978, the great James Wilder's (The Sikeston Train) takes a Nubber LB and THROWS HIM out-of-the-way with one-hand while scoring on 7 yd. TD run. On a darn cold November day in Lincoln, Mizzou beats the Children of the Corn.

LINK

Defensive play...1990, the Fifth Down Game v. Colorado. Mizzou's goal-line stand on the TWO YARD LINE for FIVE DOWNS against the 1990 National Champions. Just checked, Charles Johnson still has not scored. Absolute positive bullshite!

And you think the Saints got screwed by the refs??? The refs GAVE Colorado an extra down PLUS a TD when Johnson was stopped short on their FIFTH damn try.

Cynically it's Justin Tucker's field goal in 2011.

Without that, we still have Mike Sherman in 2012 and Johnny Manziel never starts at quarterback.

That Alabama player “Teague” that chased down the Miami player and stripped the ball is still in my memories. I dislike Miami more than Bama so that’s part of it.

I just remember when it happened I couldn’t believe it. Good one to choose.

There's quite a few for LSU.

Cannon's punt return is the one that comes up traditionally. Hodson to Fuller in the Earthquake Game, Bluegrass Miracle also rate right up there.

Just to be different, I would nominate Justin Vincent's run against Oklahoma in the 2003 Sugar Bowl.

For most of my life, LSU had been a "I hope we look good" school. Our great moments have been games where we lost, but weren't embarrassed. LSU-USC in '79, Orange Bowl vs Nebraska in 83, the Sugar Bowls vs Nebraska in the 80's. Heroic in defeat.

We were still a bit in shock going into the Sugar vs OU, did we really deserve it? Remember, no SEC dominance back then. We came into that game just hoping we'd not be embarrassed, in the back of most fans' minds.

First play from scrimmage Vincent rips off a 64 yd run, and LSU forever changed their point of view.
