Bernie Kosar and Miami, not FSU, beat Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Nebraska was a really talented team. Not sure how they managed to lose that game.

I remember watching this game, was a really good one. Shula!

Even better win than the Florida one IMO. Shula was not a great HC but he certainly wasnt atrocious like some other coaches that have been through the SEC

1982 Bama at Tennessee. Great seats bought right after kickoff for $10. Tennessee broke the longest Bama winning streak at the time 35-28. Game ended with a pick in the end zone, and the uprights went for a hike and a swim.

1982 Iron Bowl - Bo over the top to break the curse and hand Bryant the final loss of his career

1985 F$U - crazy back and forth game that saw AU break open a close game with 28 unanswered 4th quarter points

2010 Arky - very similar to ‘85 F$U, explosive offensive affair that turned into a blowout late thanks to multiple turnovers

For old school, defensive slug fest, nothing beats 1988 LSU/Auburn.

But for sheer excitement, 2007 LSU/Florida.

Bernie was a ‘Cane, not a ‘Nole.

Both Miami and FSU seemed to own our fannies throughout the 80’s. We simply couldn’t match their speed.

I have only been to 15 games or less but there was a Bama vs UT game in ttown about 15-20 years ago and UT was driving late to win the game and our LB or DB came at the ball carrier and hit him from the side just before crossing the goal line causing the ball to be fumbled. It may have gone out of bounds as it crossed the goal line giving the ball to Bama. We drove the field for the winning FG. The place was rocking.

1980 Florida-Georgia. I was 5, I didn't know how great it was yet, but I was there. The only negative was you didn't get to hear Munson's call in the stands.

That's the game where my wife learned. If you stand up and yell MAKE SURE you the first one to sit back down. If not you might be standing for a while. It was TIGHT up there in west upper. BEST seats in the house.

As for me. BEST game was finally beating bama in tiger stadium. LSU/uf '07 is just a hair behind.

1979 LSU-USC.

Although a loss for the Tigers, it was still the "greatest football game" I have ever seen live.

Mine is 2003 UGA-LSU

I was there as well. My tickets were in the LSU family section, which means I got some strange looks in my red and black. My ex-wife's (you don't want pics) best friend/MOH was working as a nurse at the LSU health center and her boyfriend was a student trainer with the football team. My ex went to HS with Kirk Herbstreit and he got the shock of his life when we got up close and she called out his name during a commercial break. He invited us on set after the show and we got pictures with him; he didn't like it much when I told him I was at his last game when they lost to UGA in the Citrus Bowl.

BUT, my favorite game all time with UGA 42-41 tOSU as the clock struck midnight Sunday at the Benz. As we told Suckeye fans leaving the stadium, "Chick-Fil-A ain't open on Sunday!"
