my republican state rep in texas voted to impeach ken paxton a few years ago. haven't voted for him since. i just leave that race vacant. to avoid blowback, the weasel donated 10k to paxtons campaign and said he was sorry. he is a typical republican in the texas house. worthless. gary gates his name.

Is the ICE internal affairs investigation still ongoing? Has he been fired from ICE for this event? If ICE did an investigation and the claims are confirmed, I would expect Abbott to send him back. Maybe that is what Abbott is waiting on.....I looked it up, ICE has not yet issued a formal final conclusion of the event. Is he on paid/unpaid administrative leave pending outcome of investigation?

Whatever was said today, had to be done in person. Must be very very serious. I wonder if Russia caught the usa doing something and they demanded an in person explanation. I get the feeling russia is very pissed.

this is why we can't control the straits.

remember back when people joined the national guard because they thought it was only weekend duty and 2 weeks during the summer. paid well. then they wound up in iraq. i recall people saying, i didn't sign up for this. no, they shouldn't complain because they signed up. nobody forced them. but the iran war has revealed that the navy has some serious problems. they don't have enough ships in working order or crews to man those ships. taking a carrier from the pacific to replace one that has been at sea too long is a problem. especially if it leaves the pacific without one. ships in the middle east had been supplied by the naval base in bahrain. except it was destroyed. supplies now had to come from diego garcia, 2000 miles away. it doesn't look to me like hegseth and the pentagon thought all this through when they started a war they thought would be over in a week.

Republican senate candidate in Michigan asked AIPAC not to donate to his campaign. Israel will be an issue hurting republicans. Trumps iran war hurt MAGA. I don't see any reason to go vote for Republicans yet democrats offer nothing. Winner will be who can get their voters out. It will be close either way.
