The police caught hell back then for arresting a Tennessee girl that was walking down University Avenue drinking beer from a Solo cup. Now you can drink from Solo cups in certain areas of the campus and city around the stadium.

It’s still best to be discreet with any drinking you do...don’t know when you might run across a cop that’s having a bad day.

It’s been relaxed with the new school president.

I was in the band at the time, so didn't get to tailgate.

But just on our way to the stadium I saw a cop make an LSU fan throw away his cup. That was almost 10 years ago though, so

I got thrown out of the swamp for having liquor in there, took a cab to get beer then went back to our RV site. Cab driver had a few beers with me then got back to work.

Only been once in 2011 and it was admittedly wild. Lots of shite talking by drunk Gators fans. Nobody was all that nice to us. Leaving after the game was daunting with lots of shoving and more shite talking. Was more of what I'd expect at LSU based on what I've heard in the past but I've never been there.

This was my experience at one game. I'm not making a blanket statement about all games at BHG. So you don't have to tear me a new sphincter.

This. It's always blazing hot whenever the Tigers play a daytime game there. Just brutal.

Hot, campus is super spread out, nobody is out there until noon and one year a neighboring UF tailgate asked the LSU tailgate I was with to turn the music down

So in short, it kinda sucks

I only went during the Spurrier reign in 98. It was horrible due to the residual LSU butthurt from the 97 upset.
Cops were assholes to anyone in P&G, as were the younger fans (students/recent grads, and never-seen-a-college-syllabus tag-alongs) Other LSU fans there said it was like that before 97, when UF was in the midst of a 9-0 streak vs us.

Haven't been back.

The worst SEC exp. Was 2005 SECCG vs. UGA, with the "Katrina, Katrina" chants in ATL...colder than Hell...and the UGA dipshit fan trying to signal plays to the defense from 20+ rows up for all 4 qtrs.

Stay on the west side of the stadium and you will be fine. Actually it has gotten so hard to get admitted to UF the students are mostly dorks now. So maybe you should stay on the East side and stay away from the dumb arse redneck alums like me.

Went for the Bama game in '11. Set up in a large field (don't remember where) within walking distance of the stadium. Had a great time with the Gator fans around us. Never saw a cop.

I'm not sure if LSU has changed their admissions policies at all, but I've noticed this as well in our SS.

Maybe we're just getting old

I went one time and had a few beers in a tent on campus with some Gators. Didn’t see any cops

There isn't a centralized location most people gather, it is more spread out as others have said but you can find large areas of tailgaters pretty much anywhere. It's nice if you want to walk around, there's activity on every part of the campus. Also makes it easy to park if you get there early enough, many of the roads you can just pull up onto the grass.
