hot as holy shite. it's been years since I've been to a game there but they had almost no tailgating scene when I was there. shade is a necessity.

I graduated this year and wouldn’t get it in if I applied today.

With regards to the open containers, I have never seen one person busted for it.

I expected most Bama fans to be gay based on what I’ve heard, but I’ve never been there.

Museum Road has some of the best tailgating, from Lake Alice to the SAE house has some pretty large setups.

From 2008 to 2015 I had a dedicated tailgate trailer with 4 10'x10' popups. 3 TVs with their own DirecTV box. 7.1 surround sound. Full bar. Full kitchen, etc. Our last season we had 2 pools, indoor (under one of the popups) and outdoors. Heat? Not after soaking for 15 min in the pool.

Actually it has gotten so hard to get admitted to UF the students are mostly dorks now

It’s true for UF. I was born and raised in Florida. My dad, uncle, and cousin are alums. I wanted to go to school there, but it felt impossible to get in and that was 2010. One of my best friends in HS, was second generation Cuban, had a 3.8, and Eagle Scout. He’s a UF alum now, but had to go to Santa Fe for two years right after HS, because he didn’t get in. My cousin is a few years older than me, she got in, but she was Salutatorian of Nease HS. My dad and Uncle and all their friends tell me it kinda sucks that UF student body has become so nerdy. They say Gainesville was the place to be back in thier day, it was the party school of Florida, now that’s really shifted to FSU and Tallahassee. Also UF is starting to love that Out-of-State tuition. I talked to a UF student from ATL that got in with ease compared to any Floridian know, which doesn’t seem fair to me.

My father in law was born and raised in Gainesville, went to Gainesville high, and then uf

Same with his siblings

He is triggered how difficult UF is to get in now. Impossible for even most smart kids to get into now. The 50th percentile student in lst years admitting class at uf was a 4.3 gpa and 30 on the act. That seems way to high for a flagship school. At least uf is still 90% plus in state

I think it sucks flagship schools like uf Bama are catering to out of state students so much. Bama is 46% out of state now. Absurd

Police can give you a hard time. Most fans are fine an welcoming. Parking was not an issue. Enjoyable experience.

In state tuition is so damn cheap at UF. It is crazy. Cheapest of any top public school.

If its hot...just head down Museum Road to Lake Alice and take a swim...water is cool and a great way to have fun.
Don't let those logs in the water bother you.

Just some shots from the '11 Bama/UF game. Didn't realize I still had them til I saw this thread. The Gator fans were fun tailgating before the game.

There isn't one central spot like most places but there were still plenty of LSU fans in 2010. They've gotten better about open containers and alcohol since Machen retired.

It's alright. Stay cool and the cops don't bother u. Most people I saw get cops going their direction were loud people or just insanely wasted. U see a cop, don't act like a drunk a-hole. Simple.

As far as fans, they're not bad. They don't really say much. Nothing like the a-holes u encounter in baton rouge. Nothing at all like that so you're good.

It’s like LSU in a lot of ways. More spread out, tailgating everywhere. Depends on the game, but it’s a little less roudy than LSU.. They have tons of lots and fields, plenty of people drinkin who don’t get bothered by cops. I’ve had a good time every time I’ve gone. I’ve been to to many gator games to count, but only one as an away fan. The game I went to as an away fan was a lot of fun until the game started, because Ole Miss got beat down, and I was with a bunch of Florida fans. But I also knew a lot of people and where to go. I would say find a parking spot with a lot of tailgaters and you’ll be fine and have a good time.

The facts!

Campus is large with lots of areas to tailgate, just don't park where there are no parking signs.

Use discretion with beer and alcohol, don't show your arse and the campus cops won't bother you.

Gator fans will talk shite but not nearly as bad as LSU fans and they won't ring cowbells in your face like some other places.

DON'T SIT IN THE STUDENT SECTION! UF students are typical college kids again not as bad as LSU students.

Take earplugs if you have sensitive ears. When the Swamp is rocking, it is as loud as any stadium in the country, including both Death Valleys.

Oh, and if you leave early plan on a friendly send off from the entire section that you are sitting in.
