Let's say Bama beats MSU (only loss) by 10 at home.
Bama (undefeated) faces UGA (undefeated) in the SECC. Bama wins by 10 OR 20.
Who gets in?
Bama and UGA at a 10 point loss?
Bama and MSU at a 20 point loss?
All 3?

Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma

UGA winning would make the situation more interesting imo. UGA has a weaker chance of getting into the CFP if we lose the SECCG. Alabama is all but guaranteed a spot in the CFP if they make the SECCG undefeated.

Bama's not going to the SECCG.
They'll throw the Auburn game if they have to. After all, why play an extra game against a top 5 opponent?

It all depends on the records of the PAC-12, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and Notre Dame.

I think 2 get in.
I hope it kills the current playoff model. Move it 8.

A 12-0 Bama is in the Playoff even if we lose the SEC Championship Game. That is the only certainty.

Alabama is in, in this scenario. The opportunity for two teams from the SEC relies on some of the other power conferences shitting the bed and having their top teams with 2 losses. The committee will do everything they can this year to keep conferences to one team each.

Alabama would still easily get in over a 2 loss SEC champion if they were idle during the championship game.

Are you talking about the Alabama Football Invitational played at season's end?

What if AU's only L is bama?

The only way the SEC gets two in CFP is if Bama or Auburn's only loss is a close one in their head to head matchup, and then UGA wins the SECCG over the winner of the AU/Bama game.
I highly doubt the committee is going to put two SEC teams who have already played head to head late in the season. It only worked out the way it did last year because UGA and Bama didn't play each other prior to the playoff.

C'mon Clark... don't you know how a dynasty works or how a puppeteer pulls strings??
A one loss bama team gets in the playoffs... period!! The SECCG is irrelevant in "the process" for the gumps.

Why this?
Wouldn't it make better sense if one won big, then UGA beat the winner in a close game?

Moving it to 8 will kill cfb.

The only way the SEC gets 2 schools in the playoffs this will be a combination of UA/AU/UGA. Otherwise only 1 gets in from the SEC.

The SECCG is irrelevant
If it is irrelevant it is because of LSU. As demonstrated the last time LSU played in the game they were not the best in the conference which became evident in the NC when LSU did not realize the field was longer than 50yds.
