When I read the title of this thread I thought it would be bad. Upon opening the thread, I found it to be significantly worse than I imagined. Wow.

I was wondering the same

Auburn beats GA
Bama bears Auburn
Ga beats Bama

Committee says frick the sec and takes UCF

This would cause chaos. I think they would pick Bama, because it’s Bama

MSU would never make it in without winning the conference. We don't have the status Alabama does to make it like they did last year

The committee will do everything they can this year to keep conferences to one team each.

Not true.

They'll throw the Auburn game if they have to. After all, why play an extra game against a top 5 opponent?

So you're saying Auburn only won because Saban was smart enough to know he didn't have to win the game to make it, that AU would lose to a UGA team they had beaten just the previous week, AND that Wisconsin was going to lose to Ohio State but not by enough for OSU to jump to #4?

That man is wasting his time as a head coach, he'd be a billionaire working the market.

UGA winning would make the situation more interesting imo. UGA has a weaker chance of getting into the CFP if we lose the SECCG. Alabama is all but guaranteed a spot in the CFP if they make the SECCG undefeated.

If they lose in the SECCG and there are 3 others that are undefeated teams? Nope!

think 2 get in.

I hope it kills the current playoff model. Move it 8.

Yeah, no way two teams from the same conference could get in then.

What’s gonna happen when they go to 8 and 3 SEC teams get in?

Side discussion...

How so?

Because the powers to be that are already pushing it will use it as a way to guarantee their conference champ will be a lock. It should be the best 4, 6, or 8 teams period, not the P5 Champs a G5 Champ and 2 other teams. If it means that UA, AU, UGA, OSU, Wisc, & PSU happen to get in because they are all in the top 8 so be it.

I think both Georgia and Bama get in again.

I think this is a ridiculous discussion only two games into the season. Let's talk about it in week 11.
