If you have to argue that your coach is a "great coach" then guess what?
Oh yeah, him chewing gum on the sidelines like a 13 year old girl and having an assistant coach who rocks a backwards hat and who's only coaching duty involves swinging a dish towel over his head does not scream "great head coach" either. Maybe it's just me.

Why bother asking other fans in SECr that have for the most part been negative and in bash mode all season long? I for one do not need outside affirmation that Chizik is a very good HC. You will hardly receive objective input here anyhow. I must be a glutton for punishment I guess.

Oh look, a Auburn pity party, and WTF are you claiming his accomplishments as an assistant? He coached multiple Thorpe award winners to huh?

In 09,Gus took a screwed up team and made a great offense, Chizics D sucked. This past year Gus took one of the best athletes ever in cfb and had a unstoppable offense, once again Chizics D sucked. It would have been sun belt level without fairley

You guys want everyone to look at chiz like he's on sabans level or something when all of his hc success is thanks to Gus maz and Cam Newton.

Saban is a D guy, and he's had 3 straight top 5 defenses, and will certainly have another this year, thats elite. How do you respect a guy like chiz when he cant even field a half decent D or control his thugs?

2012 will be solid years for Alabama and LSU as well.

Don't see anyone claiming Arkansas is a powerhouse in the making.

He is a good coach...no doubt about it...took a program in turmoil to an 8-5 season w/ a january bowl win followed by one of them there national championships...haters will no doubt hate like the little bitches they are..but he has assembled one hellof a staff that will be there unchanged for the 3rd consecutive year...he had two shite years at iowa state because he had nothing to work with...his recruited players had great seasons by their standards last year and especially this year....people like to take away his accomplishments by saying "if it weren't for gus...or cam....or fairly...or money" but that strawman is patheti b/c you can say the same about any coach..I also fully suspect when AU loses a few this year some will say"see he ain't aheeeit"....but he will again prove people wrong in 2012 and 2013...which people will again name random players and staff coaches as reasons for his success, ignoring their own situations...minus the receding gum lines and pleather jackets, he is and will continue to be a successful coach.....and I was one of the ones that was pissed about his hiring...but crow has never tasted sweeter....

Alabama had more talent on both sides of the ball the past 2 years and got beat in one of those game and slipped past on the other. I will like to see how Chizik's teams play when they have equal talent to Alabama. Saban is not a top notch coach unless he has much better talent.
