As long as he continues to win & stay out of trouble with the NCAA....oh wait, damn! that theory is out the window. Ok, then as long as he continues to win.

once again Chizics D sucked

alabama: 67 yards of offense in the second half of the iron bowl

held oregon to 19 points

shut down south carolina....

I think the D was just fine...

We held ourselves to 67 yards. I'm willing to bet that Saban doesn't get conservative in the second half ever again/

He is a supposed defensive "genius". Until he has a great defense, hell or even one that isn't mediocre i will claim he is a coach hiding behind the top player and top assistant coach.

30+ days to prepare will do that for you.

So did other teams

Does 2009 not count? That team exceeded expectations.

The analogy that I would draw is if someone like, I don't know, Bobby Petrino (or any offensive guru), stumbled into a national title by winning all of the games by scores like 7-3, or 14-10, or 6-3 with someone like Gary Patterson as his defensive coordinator.

Have you been familiarized with his D's when he was a DC? No, well then.....

So, it's only due to preparation time? Okay.

But we had to do it twice...that's very difficult. I know you guys are never in that position but trust me on this one.

Saban = 9-3 with top notch talent
Chiz= 14-0 in second year with above average talent

Soooooo, you're saying he's like a coach who has won 3 superbowls? um, okay...

also, you will not admit Chizik is a great coach until he wins with : 1. bad players and 2. bad assistants?

Interesting little obstacle course before you call a coach great...
