Ok, so in my experience there are two types of shine. Type 1 is shite people make to avoid taxes that tastes like the worst vodka/raw whiskey imaginable but almost certainly still costs more than cheap plastic bottle vodka. Type 2 though is made by people trying to make things not commonly available that don’t care about actual costs as long as they make a quality product. I’ve had blackberry shine from a guy just outside of Huntsville Alabama where blackberries were not for flavor they were the entire substrate. It was like essence of summer. It needed nothing but a chill and a cold glass and was divine. Also had some home made Raki from a guy from Muskogee Oklahoma that made me imagine being in Turkey or Greece it was so good, like ultimate licorice/mastic. Drinking that with pickled okra on his porch was like a tiny slice of heaven.

Me personally though, I don’t have a preferred tailgating drink. I actually kind of like southern comfort and coke as kitschy as it is but I don’t have a go to.

Edit: also, welcome to the SEC Oklahoma people. Texas people can suck eggs though.

What is everyone’s drink of choice?

Not complicated, morning or noon-ish games Screwdrivers & spicy Bloody’s, and evening games Tequila shots. Those are the absolute best ways to pass out.

If I liked chewing on a band aid, I'd be a scotch drinker. It's an acquired taste that I will never be able to acquire.

Any liquor store in Oklahoma should have them. I’m trying to be more local. And there are some tasty choices.

One of my friends got me some when he was in North Carolina that was in a plain mason jar. I got to try some that were different colors of moonshine that we’re like a green apple, a watermelon flavor etc… I’ve gotten some from my cousin who travels for work and it taste completely different then any other I’ve tried but still had a good taste to it. I’ve bought some here in Oklahoma from people who know I like it (apple cinnamon) and I’ve never seen a name on it. I’ve never bought it at a store before. If y’all got some good advices on it let me know.
