I kinda root for them except when it's detrimental to Bama's interest. Just wondering about Arkansas upside long term, given that they are having a good season probably exceeded expectations for many.

Where do they stand in regards to other programs in the West?

Saban probably in his last 5-7 years at Bama but they should still be formidable.

LSU will be back.

Ole Miss is rising and has Kiff'

I like Harsin, but would like to see Auburn pick up their recruiting not sure how to judge him yet.

Jimbo regardless of the sRant sentiments will break through at Texas A&M on just the talent he's assembling.

Mike Leach is a month to month thing with me. He's kinda of a wildcard with his system and style of football.

Do y'all see Arkansas winning the West under Pittman?

No.

I could see Pittman getting Arky to 9-3 but no SECCG trips barring something like DMAC 2.0 arriving on campus. The West is just too stacked.

Not with Saban at Bama and Jimbo at LSU.

Same. I don't have anything bad to say about Arkie, their state, school, fans, team or posters.

Titboss, for whatever else you might say about him, has come in and made an almost immediate impact. I think those players are hungry and he's harnessed that energy in just the right way. I'd like to see him build off of that momentum.

Unlikely.

Would require an obscene level of OL/DL recruiting and development, along with the stars aligning perfectly for other programs to be down and probably require a generational type of player.

Petrino couldn't even do it and his 2 best teams would beat the living hell out of everyone in the West this year.

That being said, I'm on my way to BDS this weekend for the annual arse whooping and my first trip down there.

Can't wait.

No, but I think he'll do well enough that he'll retire instead of getting fired. He's a great recruiter and people person who has put a very good staff around him. That is very much a successful formula.

I don't see it myself.

In fact, I don't see how Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas or A&M ever win the West. I guess LSU or A&M winning the west either. Why do I say this?

Bama will most likely win it the next year or so and then:

The west won't exist after OK and Texas additions. Pods are coming, get ready.

Definitely a top 2 hire from that class along with Kiffin. There’s a failed two point conversion separation right now between the two. I doubt anyone two years ago would have ever guessed that after all hires had been made. I’ll take that and be happy with it for now.

You think that is good? Nope! Two division is a lot better. Why changed it if it isn't broken? Like I said move some schools around. Look at the map! See the Southeastern States are close together. One diveision. Then the South Midwestern States are close together. The other division. More like Southeastern-South Midwestern Best case senerio.

Given the right circumstances, Arky can win the West w/ Pittman. He'll never have the most talented team, but his teams consistently give 110%. So if they catch Bama on a bad day, and then Bama knocks off Aggie...

Think about what they're doing now, and then consider if he can crank up recruiting just a bit. I've been really impressed with him.

They could win the West if they have a stars align type season but more importantly I think they'll be a solid arse team that brings it every week for his whole tenure. 7-9 win team.

Of course, there probably won't be a West in a few years anyway.
