Seems like a nice dude. Kinda funny and odd fellow.

Always seemed like he had our number with some crazy voodoo 4th down fake punt shite. And we fell for it every. Damn. Time.

I thought he was hilarious. Although I'll never forgive him for the fake field goal he called against South Carolina in 2007.

Gets way too much hate on here - especially from LSU fans.

He was a good coach that was loyal to his program and kids and worked hard. It may have been time from change at LSU, but if Orgeron doesn’t work out then LSU is going to struggle to find a coach that fits that bill.

He squandered season after season of good talent because he flat out refused to modernize the offense.

LSU has only had two quarterbacks throw for 20 touchdowns in a season since 2007. Thats insane.

Eh, I liked Les but he's been pretty mediocre outside of his time at LSU.

Les Miles is a better coach than Kirby Smart.

Les was a good coach that refused to modernize the offense. Good but not great coach. He was a very good recruiter. In the end, his stubbornness did him end

no freaking way Les is better than Kirby. His game day coaching was atrocious. They could never get plays in on time bc of all the meddling. And let’s not even talk about end of game clock management. He had a good run but ultimately turned a Ferrari into a Prius.

I don't understand your reaction. Are you questioning your fanbase or Coach Miles?

Other fanbase love Les because he was quirky and unique. He was definitely a good guy, but I danced when we fired him. LSU underachieved with Miles.

Neither.

I'm laughing at yet another butthurt Aggie.

The man was stubborn to a fault about his offensive philosophy, and his unwillingness to delegate clock management to someone, causing his eventual removal. But I have to say I don't think you are much of an LSU fan if you don't think positively about Les Miles. Over 11 years, he won 77% of his games, never won less than 8 games, won a Natty, played for another (would have won 2 if Okla St hadn't pissed away their Iowa St. game). Hell, if not for conditioning issues caused by Hurricane Katrina, maybe a shot at a third.

My guess is you secretly think Coach O is a buffoon who wins on talent and luck, but know better than to post that.

Why do dawgs always deflect when people bring up Kirby?

I love how a thread about Les Miles turned into a Kirby bashing thread

Jimbo won a natty at Florida State, and that didn’t work out long term.

i believe he had the best career statistics of any coach to ever coach at LSU. Les Miles is absolutely a better coach than the discount nick saban knock off at UGA.

GFY. Miles may have left something to be desired at the end of his tenure at LSU, but he certainly deserves better than this shite.
