LSU fans circling the wagons on a women’s basketball coach is really something.

Opposing fans getting fired up about an article related to a women's basketball coach, that hasn't even been published yet, is also really something.

But you aren't ready for that conversation.

LOL. Kim Mulkey will retire from LSU when she gets good and ready. Hit pieces from hack reporters won't bring that on.

She's a tough head coach and I am sure she has some former players who will criticize her. That's true of any real head coach in just about any sport.

I just hope the piece is accurate and includes a wide variety of former player quotes. I doubt it will.

I will say this: it is almost impossible for any rich, famous person (read KM) to win a defamation lawsuit against a member of the press. Our Founding Fathers protected freedom of the press in Amendment #1 and the press in the 1780s and 1790s was MUCH more defamatory than the press now.

It’s because Kim is one of us. She was born and raised here. She’s a strong, hard working, no nonsense, conservative woman that believes in the principles of hard work, responsibility, accountability, and leadership. She doesn’t bow down to the woke, liberal media and stands up to them. She’s a genuine person that won’t pretend like the other sheep and wear a stupid mask at a press conference. She wouldn’t kiss Britney Griner’s arse and bow to the liberal agenda.

If there was any serious shite out there, why was this reporter calling former players & coaches, insinuating that he was acting on her behalf, to get them to call him back? Too, her reaction is not just out of the blue, the WP sent her a list of questions for her to answer this past week, so she has a good idea what's coming down. He's been working on this for 2 years, so, 1) no doubt she's heard a lot of stories from people he's contacted and, 2) it has to have some involvement with the whole Griner story, back at Baylor & this pre season. That story is pure wokeism at its worst. As for her being a "nobody", go back under your rock. She's won championships at every level she's played & coached in: state high school champ as a player, National champ at La. Tech as a player / assistant coach. National champ 3 times at Baylor. National champ in her second season at LSU. Elected to the Women's HOF. Earns well over a million dollars a year.

I'm not really a basketball fan so I didn't realize how much Mulkey got to some of these other fanbases.

May be some fun trolling opportunities when their desperate wishcasting doesn't work out

Mulkey gets word from former coaches and players, as well as a list of questions sent directly from the author, indicating that it's a hit piece. She figuratively screams from the roof tops that if they write anything untrue she will sue them for defamation, and somehow that is an indication of guilt?

If she were responding to an actual accusation this would make sense but if she's doing a blanket "anything you say will be false and I'll sue you" it's a bit different.

Not really. They've likely sent her a copy of the article and given her a certain amount of time to respond before they print it without comment from her. She knows what's coming. And whatever the story is, WAPO wouldn't be pursuing it unless it contains some allegations of racism.

Y'all said the same thing about Will Wade, and that dumbfrick was paying players with his wife's personal checks.

I think I'll just wait and read the article.

I don't think so. They asked to interview her but she said the timeline was too short (this part is probably fair). She hasn't said she's heard what's alleged

Genuinely had zero clue I had joined a WBB forum when I signed up here. But, Mulkey owns this place.
