I'd say there were a lot of similarities between what Tua did and Joe B did.

During the 2017 (and mostly 2018) season Bama with Tua at QB was able to score at will.

Joe did the same in 2019.

The only difference? Joe and LSU did this against EVERYBODY even teams with great defenses like Clemson and Georgia. Bama could only beat A&M by a couple of scores and had trouble with Georgia having to win at the last minute both times and got run off the field by Clemson.

Anyways, thought you guys should know that.

They won one SEC championship with Tua Tugalongdong as the starter. That's it.

And Tuna needed Jalen to win it for him

LSU beat a Texas team who had 4 losses in conference play by a single TD.

Hell, even Baylor beat them by 2 TDs.

I didn’t know Joe played defense too? He definitely should’ve defended more passes that game, along with shredding the Texas secondary for multiple passing TDs.

Hilarious that the only argument bama fans can rely on after last season was *past* national championships.

“Look at how great our non-current teams were”

Well, it is true. It is likely that Alabama wins the NC this year too. Alabama tends to win NC roughly every 5 years.

By the way, many of you said the same thing in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2016......

Oh look, Alabama did not win the NC this year.....

and the truth is, LSU non-current team has not done anything either........

The current iteration of the LSU Tigers will be lucky to go 7-3 this year. I have a feeling that we will look back on 2019 LSU much like we look back on 2010 Auburn - a fluke season from an above-average coach who stood on the shoulders of Joe Burrow, Dave Aranda, and Joe Brady. Meanwhile, Alabama is reloading (again) and picked to win the SEC and compete for the national title (again). And the recruiting class Saban is building for '21 might rival any other he's brought in to date. We're not going anywhere in the short term.

Tua was injured during just about all those big games.

I do think it's remarkable that Saban opened up the offense - you could see at times that it pained him, but he recognized that it had to be done. That doesn't happen often - usually a successful coach sticks with what got him there long past when it stops working.

Gotta' give St. Nick credit for that.

That was a direct result of Kiffin implementing a system and recruiting for it for 2+ almost 3 full years.

Goddamn you're dumb. A fluke season from a team that has 4 national title appearances and 3 National Championships under THREE different head coaches in the past 20 years? The team had the best QB, best WR, best CB, and one of the best safeties in the country. Massacred teams along the way. 5 first round draft picks, five on day two, and 4 more late rounders to tie the record of 14 in one draft. How exactly is it a fluke again? How is that comparable to Auburn's 2010 Cam Newton show? How is accruing that much talent along with a great staff the equivalent of fluke as opposed to indicating program prestige and multi-year successful program building?

I don't understand why it is so hard for Bama fans to acknowledge that other programs are on solid competetive footing. They have every reason not to be insecure yet they are the most insecure bitches in the conference.
