All others are private schools.
Interesting as none of these schools have the biggest endowment in the state.

Might have left one out but I think those are the four-year degree institutions in Arkansas.
Is University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff not a 4 year school?
Of all the crazy folks in Arkansas I know the bad crazies all seem to call Pine Bluff home. Is there something in the water there?

Yes, it is. My bad. I have a tendency to pretend like that area of the state doesn't exist.

Its a tiny school, though. 3,200 students and is a HBCU.

Alabama, like Mississippi, has many technical and community colleges. some are quite large, and have many more students than some of the 4 year schools. For example...
1. Alabama - 33,602
2. Troy - 29,689
3. Auburn - 25,469
4. UAB - 17,543
5. South Alabama - 14,776
6. Jacksonville State - 9,490
7. Alabama-Huntsville (UAH)- 7,614
8. North Alabama - 7,209
9. Auburn-Montgomery - 5,817
10. Alabama A&M - 5,814
11. Alabama State - 5,705
12. West Alabama - 5,094
Incorrectly left out was a private college with several branches:
Virginia College - 10,961
To wit:
Calhoun Community College - 12,134
Shelton State - 6,045
Wallace State - 6,371
Northwest-Shoals CC - 4,489
Lawson State - 4,863
Jeff State - 9,863
(and about 25+ others not quite as large)
Of special note is Athens St University (3,681) which is a two-year UPPER division college, one of only four or five in the USA. That is, they offer only junior and senior level courses and rely on the junior colleges to provide them with transfers to complete their degree.
Finally, Troy Univ. has about 9,000 students on campus in Troy. They have four other branch locations and a huge number of online and international students, so their enrollment nubmer is somewhat misleading.

There are more college students in Texas, than 10 states have total. That's crazy.

Also, I thought Murray State was closer to 14k?

What town is "West Alabama" in? Is that Russellville. And yes, I had never heard of an upper level community college.

Livingston. It used to be known as Livingston College
