Millsaps is one of the tougher schools in the nation to get into.

Its a typical small liberal arts college, of which there are hundreds across the country of its stature.

It compares to Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, which actually has an endowment of roughly $10 million per student.

I gotta say... the admittance standard at UCF must be nothing higher than a body temperature around 98 degrees. Good Grief.

I'm really surprised by these numbers actually. I had no idea UNT and Texas State were that big. I knew UofH was big, but not 40k big.

UCF basically started out as a commuter school and has grown to be a full fledged University. It's a good school for a lot of area residents not looking to go far away for college or people who like the Orlando area.

Every person I've known that wound up at Millsaps did so in order to play football. They pull a decent amount of kids from my high school for that reason.

Millsaps is serious bout some football. The New Orleans Saints built them a pretty nice facility back when they used Millsaps for preseason training. The last year they trained there was the year they won the Super Bowl. Reggie Bush's first official stop as a Saint after he signed the contract was to step off the plane in Jackson Mississippi and report to Millsaps for training.

Yeah but they don't have one of the highest murder rates per capita. Boo yeah...

Thanks. I'm just surprised because Ohio has so many colleges and universities.

Considering the population comparison of Ohio to Arkansas, why are you suprised?

Here's an official list of Mississippi

Alcorn State
Belhaven University
Bryson University
Delta State
Jackson State
Mississippi State
Mississippi University for Women
Mississippi Valley State
Ole Miss
Southern Miss
William Carey University

And a high school diploma from any other state is worth more than than any diploma from the aforementioned universities in Mississippi.
