one thing we're happy about is that our dc got hired away, was made the highest paid coordinator in cfb, and our defense is better than ever. that's pretty cool

Mizzou has been a thorn in the side of the old guard so I give them credit for that. It was tired of hearing about them acting like they won a SB against a checked out OSU though. Since then, they’ve absolutely been deserving of their ranking and praise. Gave Bama a great game. Will be a tough game at Vandy

that the SEC invited them, honestly. can't blame them, they hit the jackpot. they might as well be Iowa State and they somehow backdoored their way into the fricking SEC

Maybe it's because we're normal, rational human beings with things going on in our lives more important than the success of our preferred college football team. In other words, we enjoy watching our team but our complete identity isn't tied to what some college kids do on a football field for 12 Saturdays a year.

Lol Missouri is the one power 4 school in a state with two major metro areas. That’s a little different than Iowa State

It’s not about Mizzou. It’s about you delusional arse “Blue Bloods”. You thought after NIL/portal things were going to remain the same. I know it’s been a short time, but you can rest assured, the old cheating days are over with. That means it’s going to be a much tougher road to a national championship, much less an SEC championship. Talk about delusional! You fail to see the reality of college football in 2025 and beyond. Must be all of that Missouri poop in your water. actually, I’m sitting here right now adding to it. Don’t worry, it should be there in the next few weeks.

LSU isn't a blue blood.

No one thought it'd be "the same".

Sounds like Mizzou is fricked.

we think it's funny that people get a substantial amount of their self esteem from rooting for 20 year olds at a school they never attended. Welcome to the SEC. It just means more.

Well this is something I enjoy as a Mizzou fan.

The state of MO has one of the greatest dynasties in NFL history and 5 Super Bowl championships historically. NIL has changed college football for the foreseeable future, so you’ll see non traditional programs in wealthier states have their moments in the sun so to speak. I can only imagine the level of melt that would ensue if MU ever broke through with an SEC title or CFP appearance.

back in the day were famous for being giant killers and some epic games against some really good Nebraska and Oklahoma teams.
And then would shite the bed against mediocre teams.
1976 beat #8 USC in Los Angeles, lose at home to Illinois, beat #2 Ohio State in Columbus.
Later in same season lose at home to Iowa State then beat #3 Nebraska in Lincoln.
Normally anyone hearing a team beat three top 8 ranked teams on the road, they sound like a national championship candidate. Mizzou went 6-5.
