Just curious, but what "excites" you about downtown ATL?

I like Atlanta but that’s because of the Braves. I would like Nashville if the stadium is big enough.

I'd want Atlanta for selfish, don't have to travel, reasons. But Nashville is a better city, especially right now.

I hear you. I have both Atlanta and N.O. as great cities for the game but both suffer from some pretty high and blatant crime rates in areas where tourists frequent.
I suppose Houston to a lesser degree could also fall into that category.
Nashville checks all of the boxes and it won't feel like a war zone.

I would NUT over a CFP title game in Nashville.
I wouldn’t mind Nashville getting a few SECCGs, too, but they probably don’t want to leave the door open for the ACC to ditch charlotte and snag an Atlanta foothold.

What?
You don’t feel the rush from leaving your car parked in Atlanta?
You haven’t felt alive until you’re waiting for an Uber right on the edge of Bankhead/Mercedes-Benz stadium with no one around you.
Atlanta’s best entertainment option is free of charge and really brings out the fight or flight response like nothing else could

Nashville would be a much better location for the SEC championship. There really isn't anything to do within walking distance of Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. I admit that I haven't visited Atlanta a lot since graduating a 100 years ago, but nothing really stands out to me as a must do in Atlanta anyway. The only advantage that Atlanta has is that you can get off the subway right next to the stadium. Other than that, I don't know of anyone that gets all excited about a weekend in Atlanta. However, a weekend in Nashville sounds fun.

Colleges play in 100 year old stadiums with renovations. NFL has to have an entirely new stadium every 20 years. Taxpayers should not have to fund that for the NFL.
Plus: I'd rather the SEC basketball tournament stay in Nashville every year and let another city have football.

Houston with over 100 reported homicides through mid March.

yeah, Houston with Kim Ogg as a DA is a complete shite show at the moment.

lol at ATL vs Nashville. That area of ATL is a steaming pile of shite. Literally one of the lamest areas of a major metro I’ve been to. It’s like NOLA without any bars or food, so basically just a place to get robbed or murdered.
Downtown Nashville is a safe, less trashy/ghetto version of Bourbon Street with hundreds of amazing restaurants and bars within 15 minutes of the stadium.
Downtown ATL by the stadium literally has none of that. It completely blows.

Except Nashville has a higher violent crime rate...

Why do SEC championship events always get played in the eastern edge of SEC territory? It is annoying to many of us who attend those events annually.
All SEC championship events should be rotated and not parked in any one place like ATL or Nashville or Hoover.

Never been to Nashville, but I've heard nothing but good things about it.
