I accidentally put Steve Taneyhill twice. I’m switching out one Steve Taneyhill to add Jeff Burger.

iirc, Peyton never won a heisman or a natty. Joe Burrow did though.

Why all the love for Peyton?

Tua threw around the same number of touchdowns and picks as he did, of course Peyton has a good bit more yardage.

Peyton also had a great professional career. Tua may one day surpass that, but if/when that happens I'll replace Peyton on there. That said, my logic was:

Bo Jackson - one of the biggest names in athletics in the 80s. Huge career at Auburn. Won the Heisman. IF not for a bad injury would likely have lit up two professional sports for years.

Peyton Manning - huge college career, but bigger pro career. Another hugely public face of football.

Derrick Thomas - Holds a ridiculous statistic of 27 sacks in a single season and over 50 in a career. NFL HOF and was very well known in the KFC area for helping children and being very philanthropic.

Joe Burrow - single greatest QB season in CFB history. Has already done his best to use his blossoming fame to help others (the food bank during his Heisman ceremony, then asking people to donate for the COVID-19 pandemic).

All 4 were amazing in college. Who knows how Peyton would have done with the kinds of WRs and passing schemes we have today. Numbers don't tell everything as even 20 years ago a lot of rules made it harder on offenses than they have it today.

Strictly football....

Tim Tebow
Danny Weurffel
Joe Burreaux
Tie between Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker

It’s hard to pinpoint any Alabama player as there have been a multitude of personnel who have contributed to the overall success of their history.

The Charles Barkley statue is a fake

When he played at Auburn, they wore the "nut huggers" type of shorts, the statue shows shorts that didn't get to that length until the Fab5 showed up and schools all over the Country started wearing the longer shorts

You'll never find an Auburn game photo of Barkley that looks like that statue, talk about creative license

While playing at Auburn Barkley looked like the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man, he never had a trim midsection like that while playing for Auburn either

Fvcking blasphemy

You put Vincent "Bo" Jackson on a Mount Rushmore list with fvcking Drew Lock & Michael Sam

Drew Lock & Sam wouldn't make an All Mizzou Mt Rushmore list

WTF?

Barkley got a statue?

one of the top 50 all-time NBA players? THE best olympics of any Dream Teamer? An American treasure. A guy like that doesn't deserve a statue.

This is probably the answer if football only.

Joe and Cam had the two best seasons ever but only 1 year makes it tough to include them over guys who did it for years.
