In my opinion, Schumann is an elite football mind.

He is to Kirby what Kirby was to Saban.

But he isn't the same personality as Kirby (Kirby isn't the same personality as saban).

The gamble is if Schumann can pull off the CEO thing.
The gamble is if Schumann can fit the A&M culture (Kirby didn't fit the UGA culture, by the way. He bent the culture in his direction and the athletic association said, yes sir).

And the worst part for A&M is that Alabama will be watching and using the aggies as a testing point to see if Glenn should/could be the next CEO in Tuscaloosa. There is no guarantee of a title before mama comes calling.

Pruitt too I guess but his failure wasn't due to how he implemented things he just wasn't even close to ready or able to run a major college program.

Pruitt was such a redneck dumbass he made Coach O look like a keynote speaker at the World Economic Forum.

Lane and Sark have had good season this year, but their overall body of work is average at best

Their overall body of works post-Saban is pretty good. Like I said, they are examples of guys who took parts of Saban/Kirby and also injected their own style as well. Didn't just try to be Saban 2.0.

I believe it. I view SEC football similar to running a big organization. Lot of off the field management. Setting the tone and having the 5 year vision and gameplan. That’s what A&M needs.

Nowadays it’s hard to be a mad football scientist and also handle the non X’s and O’s responsibilities.

A&M can also pay big dollars for brilliant football minds to be coordinators.

Kirby hired several former head coaches to help with the transition.
You don't know what you don't know.

Where ever he lands, I'm sure Schu will attempt the same.

Schuman would be really solid. One of the best recruiters in the country. Check out the ILBs that Georgia's signed last winter and for this winter.

Been with Kirby since Day 1 at Georgia. Really relates well with the players.

Maybe he'll retain the three former head coaches already on staff

Usually 1 coach gets retained for at least 1 season.

I don't know A&M. Your guess would be as good as mine.

Lanning was a 35 year old co-defensive coordinator with only 3 years DC experience when Oregon hired him.

Seems to have worked out ok.

Who knew Lanning would have success with a 27 year old qb in his 9th season in a conference that is dissolving before our eyes??

A&M is a bad Job. He should wait for a Big time job to open up.

They can’t train him for a job that will be open in 4 weeks?
