It’s just 1 spot reserved though admittedly I went to 12 because of the convenience. There is another spot in there Id bet but its not worth going through schedules and he would have to be intentionally obtuse to not get the point.

Last year having 2 was a product of a massive quirk of Duke winning the ACC.

Top 5 ranked conference champions (*cough* power 5 *cough*)….except the problem was the ACC champion was ranked below the Sun belt champ

Based on past precedent either the SEC or the Big 10 will be a 4 bid league and by the looks of things the BIG 10 wont be in position to get 4 in.

For LSU to take care of its own business AND not get in the CFP it would take UK going through with at most 1 more loss. OM beating UGA and UGA NOT dropping vs Mizzou or South Carolina for LSU to not be at worst the 3rd highest 2 loss SEC team. Even then it would take a crazy ending outside of the SEC to end up with just the absolute perfect combination to not give the SEC 4 bids.

Hence why the guy playing dumb saying “but it’s November how can you say the rankings don’t matter” is just that. Dumb.

I guess you could sit there and say they matter because someone like Tennessee doesnt technically control its own destiny with the rankings but I think in the event of Tenn winning out they fix everything by leaping UK should both end up with 2 losses and leaping Bama in the same scenario.

And then right after that, we can all imagine getting your shite pushed in by the likes of Kentucky.

Whew, that's frickin' rough right there. Goddamn, that's rough.

Nah man, it will bother OM, but Kentucky is a much higher quality loss. The loss to OM will be what keeps us out of the CFP. A team cannot lose to trash and expect to get in...

is that better or worse than losing to an absolute shite team at home? and being 1-1 in average games?

Why are you concerned with LSU?

It's true that our résumé is lacking. However, George's résumé is not exactly "all that and a bag of chips". You won the Alabama game on a horrific no call for pass interference. Your defender wasn't playing the ball and slammed into the Bammer receiver well before the ball arrived. In your only the other game against a marginally ranked team, you scored a whopping 20 offensive points versus a suspect Florida defense. Oh yeah, you lost at home to a pretty pathetic Auburn team.

If I were you and had Mike Bobo as an offensive coordinator, I wouldn't be that confident that you could keep up with Chambliss and the Rebels attack.

LSU will get its opportunity to strengthen its résumé in the next three weeks. Will we do it? I don't know. We'll see. You've got a couple of games after OM, that may be interesting: Mizzou and then an improving Gamecock team at their place.

But again, thank you for your interest in LSU.

You Georgia folks are so weird.

So, you are under the impression that LSU fans do not start threads about Texas A&M?

I agree with your premise and don't see the point of threads like this, but for LSU fans to act like they don't do this is...."weird"? Is that how you described it?

Posts from the guy who does not hate on teams ranked lower than them because it is weird:

FSU doesn’t have enough funds committed to get the players, which is the only reason Norvell’s teams have sucked since Travis was on the team. Seems they keep digging the hole bigger.

From a man who rallies behind male cheerleaders who perform non-masculine dances throughout the games.

This guy represents Auburn’s fanbase? Embarrassing.

No. LSU fans NEVER talk down about schools ranked lower than them, because that's....weird.

Not disagreeing with you just pointing out that 12 won’t do you gotta be top ten to get in the last two spots are reserved for the Jmu’s and Tulane’s of the world. Which is stupid to waste to spots on clearly outmatched teams.

If LSU wins out they'll have beaten 2 top 10 teams and a 3rd ranked team. That'll get us in the top 10.

I mean, I don't know, I guess LSU is feeling as confident as any 2 lost SEC team.

Every fan base likes to throw rocks but you are correct.

UGA - 1 loss to a garbage AU team that now has 4 losses.
UK - 1 loss and arguably has the best resume.
bama - 2 loss team with losses against a 1 loss UGA and 2 loss TN.
om - 2 loss team with losses against a 2 loss Tx and a 3 loss FL.
Tx - 2 loss team with losses against a 3 loss OU and a 3 loss FL.
LSU - 2 loss team with losses against a 1 loss UK and a 2 loss om.

Everything thing will work out in the end.

I don't care about polls. They mean nothing now. I just know that LSU is playing much better and has the talent to make it deep in the playoffs if the can get and stay healthy.

It really wasn't a very quality loss.

They were absolutely dominated until Ole Miss took the foot off the gas and started the party at halftime.

If they played again Ole Miss would just whip them start to finish. Probably a 30pt blowout.
